[history]
Al Gore has finally concluded his long quest for the American presidency. His speech this week at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco was an act of political self-immolation. Ironically, Mr. Gore delivered his speech in an attempt to remain relevant in American politics, as the top Democratic contender for the presidency in 2004. Instead, he has made himself irrelevant by his inconsistency, by his separation from the mainstream of public opinion, and by creating dissension in the ranks of a party trying to muster unity in support of war on Iraq. Al Gore has shown he is not fit to lead.

Let us get one thing straight, once and for all: Allies are good to have, but at the end of the day, it is Great Britain and the U.S. that matter. Remind me again, why does Great Britain matter?

Al has always seemed conflicted about what he wants: self promotion or immolation. Al's "Joan of Arc /Ground Hog Day" moment keeps coming around. He elevates himself to the funeral pyre.
What a nut-job.

I saw Bennett on the Hannity's show last night, and though I hadn't thought of it, he is right on the money with the Daschle melt down. The dummy, Daschle, was covering for Gore and his obvious total dump in SFO. It is for sure Gore has lost all reason. Surely he must know they will play and replay his statements of four years ago. The only difference now, is we have a Republican in the White House. The Demorats said the same thing about Reagan when he was there .....finger on the button, dummy, cowboy in the White House. Well, I'll take that cowboy anyday in spades.

"So what does Mr. Gore mean?" What does Gore ever mean when he flip-flops around; does he really know himself?
Apparently students in the Gore classes could not get him to answer hard questions, the same questions that are being asked of him now---go unanswered. This Mr. Rogers wanna-be, has a way of talking down to people that is more than annoying, it is arrogant and self-righteous, right in tune with what the SelfAnnointedPrince thinks of himself. He truly is pathetic.

Bennett's theory that Daschle's meltdown was an attempt to divert attention from Gore's mess of a speech makes sense. But if Gore is irrelevant and if rumors are true that the DNC thinks he's irrelevant, why would Daschle even bother?

Let us get one thing straight, once and for all: Allies are good to have, but at the end of the day, it is Great Britain and the U.S. that matter. When oppressed people protest their dictators, they do not march with symbols of the Eiffel Tower and statements from Otto von Bismark: they march with papier-mache Statues of Liberty and excerpts from the Declaration of Independence. Ha! Great quote

I believe the press will keep him going no matter whatAfter reading the scathing column yesterday in the Washington Post, of all places, I'm not so sure the press wants to keep Al on life-support. I think, happily, he is toast...he's dead but won't stop squirming.

Last September, Americans breathed a sigh of relief in reflecting on the outcome of the 2000 presidential election. Now we have reason to be grateful once again that Al Gore is not the man in the White House, and never will be. Amen, and amen. Thank you, Lord.

Getting elected at all costs?? Gore? Doubtful. Daschle? I'm wondering why Bill Bennett didn't include Daschle in his political suicide theory because I'm hoping that's what it was.
