President Bush met with President Alvaro Uribe of Colombia today, and discussed the war on terrorism, as well as Columbia's continued efforts in fighting the illegal drug trade. Bush also met with the Boys and Girls Clubs National Youth of the Year finalists in the White House. This evening, the President attended the National Republican Senatorial Committee dinner at the National Building Museum. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush was in Mexico City attending the 11th Conference of Spouses of Heads of State and Government. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thank you!!

My friend confided this to me several years ago when we were living at Fort Sill and Newt Gingrich came to visit the Old Post Quadrangle. That was neat too. (although I know some don't like him and he has disappointed me, he was pretty impressive.)

Somehow I get the feeling that kissing is not the only thing Daschele is not good at.

Rush Limbaugh said Daschle had a meltdown!! LOL
Hannity just said "Meltdown" too. Well, Daschle's comments really made my husband angry. He was home sick today and told me that he has seen enough of the message traffic when he was at V CORPS to know that this is a serious situation and Daschle et al are treating it as if it were nothing. They are not statesmen like Tony Blair who is standing up like a man even with all of his opposition.

It's interesting you brought that up, because when I saw the picture of Daschle on the Senate floor with his hand raised, it reminded me that every time Daschle is on MTP, he APPEARS to be so mild-mannered and polite and soft spoken.
Well ... I guess we found out who the real Daschle is, didn't we??

I think that was Marvin.
The Bush 'boys' were all very competitive and a bit crazy, and Laura with calm and serenity oozing from every pore must have been quite a contrast!
I think that comment was also in reference to the fact that W was totally unconcerned about his appearance, had a messy apartment (didn't he have the springs of his bed held together with a necktie?), and needed a bit of 'taming,' which Laura succeeded in doing.
On the other hand, she's made references to the fact that he was 'fun' and added 'excitement' to her life. (Cowboy take me away!) I'm sure he did........and still does! ;o)

Tar and feathers are too good for Daschele. Maybe, but at least he would look better.

I wish I had better photo software...
I tried to crop out just Laura looking stunning in her lovely dress...but the pixels just didn't do her justice. Wish someone would crop out everyone but her in picture 13 and post it. I'd definitely add it to my collection. Thanks for your work, Rintense!

this is a serious situation and Daschle et al are treating it as if it were nothingCan you imagine the President's frustration in dealing with these snakes? The security of our country and the free world is at stake, and these pandering, self promoting obstructionists can't get their minds off themselves long enough to protect us. Is asking for a united front to the world asking too much?

Anyone out there want to bet Daschele won't get any apology from the President.

Expecting a united front from Democrats is like asking a male dog not to lift his leg.
