And if the United Nations Security Council won't deal with the problem, the United States and some of our friends will.
you can be the United Nations, a capable body, a body able to keep the peace, or you can be the League of Nations. Bada-BING !!

Thanks, PKMom!This is a true sign of where the administration is headed. No more BS; Begala & Carville, and the class of nitwits on the evening newscasts can go fornicate themselves.
With Iraq putting conditions on the inspections, Saddam has just made the UN a dinosaur. Whoever leaves their building last, please sweep up and turn out the lights.
That'll make some prime real estate for someone. (has anyone called Donald Trump yet?)

I oppose Kyoto, I favor tax cuts and a balanced budget, and I belive that farmers have a right to irrigation water that was promised them by the federal government in a contract. Not sure why I got pinged here, I miss something?

I'd love to see that dominoe effect extend right over to Iran ... have the students and all kick the Ayotollahs out of power while our forces are sitting right there in Iraq ... and dare them to do anything about it.
Problem is ... they know this I believe and will have nothing to lose but to act in concert with Saddam during the fighting. I hope we are ready for that contingency and go in there prepared to kick all of them.

Please, keep me on your Senate PING list, PKM and thanks.
GO BUSH GO a short blast from the past

Not sure why I got pinged here, I miss something? Thanks. Good for you. I pinged you as one who has grouped me with the "bushbots" in the past merely for stating my support for W on some of these exact issues. Just wanted to see if support for W's anti-UN stance will also brand me as a "bushbot."
To: Miss Marple
Yeah, it will rant season in Bushbotville! I'll be there, ready to go!

First of all, there are no negotiations to be held with Iraq. They have nothing to negotiate Not even Daschle et al can fail to see the resolve in these remarks. There's no room to 'parse' his meaning. I love it!

Just for the record Rush also played this exchange early in his program. Even on radio the leadership and resolve in his voice and the clarity of his vision came through.
Ron Fournier and Campbell Brown were the straight men to our President.

It's a chance for Congress to say, we support the administration's ability to keep the peace. That's what this is all about. Our gentleman President with a steel core....thanks for the ping, PKM. Today's media coverage had me fuming. A few words from our Pres., VP or SOD clears up all that confusion from the left....which probably explains why every news channel except FoxNews chose not to show SOD Rumsfeld's address to Congress futher explaining why we need to kick Saddam's clymer, yet Saddam's foreign minister was given international prestige and PR while addressing the UN on every cable news channel...he lied, denied and blamed America- cheered by our enemies around the world, thanks to American newsmedia. Ack.
God bless President Bush. (^:

Thanks for the ping, rintense.
Henry Cabot Lodge's speech against joining the League of Nations, some 83 years ago, still applies today. I just posted that speech, on a thread from early this year Where is Senator Lodge Now That We Need Him?
Lodge is quite clear that America is a great and free nation, whose continued freedom must be guarded. His understanding that our freedom is valuable for all mankind has certainly been shown correct in the intervening years.

Isn't it great to see the administration all on the same page? And it's not the NYT ;)
Thank you both for the pings

First of all, there are no negotiations to be held with Iraq. They have nothing to negotiate. FINALLY!!! A President who is TRULY intelligent!! He isn't just a "sweet talker" but a man of substance and integrity. Something that was sorely missing in America for EIGHT LOOOOONG YEARS!! (To the EXTREME detriment of our nations security, unfortunately!)
