This is the Senate ping list which I am using to start the one for President Bush getting ready for the 2004 campaign.
If you want on or off either of these bump lists, please let me know!
One list is for the Senate elections
Second list is for President Bush/VP Cheney leading into the 2004 election which looks like it is beginning now

if the United Nations Security Council won't deal with the problem, the United States and some of our friends will. Couldn't be any clearer than that. In diplomatic language, for the Presidednt no-less to say that, is like a big kick in the teeth.
Now, I just hope we are preparing for the full setting and are also preparing for Iran, Syria, Lybia, N. Korea and the Red Chinese if they want any part of this.

I saw this just a few minutes ago, it was great! I love the fact that he's holding the UN's feet to the fire. If they don't come through with a hard resolution, they might as well all pack up and go home. The UN will be worthless. (Well, it already is, but they will be admitting it themselves)

Thanks! I was just getting ready to post this myself! Great comments, firm voice, and a twinkle in his eye when he said the bit about "a lot" of allies. Firm and emphatic support of Powell.
Pinging some people that may not be on either of your lists!

Please sign me up for both ping lists. Thanks.

Thanks, PhiKapMom, for the ping.
I watched our President make these remarks. What I REALLY appreciated was his clarity of purpose. There is NO equivocating, no wiggle room, no confusion. What is...is. How refreshing. I still Thank God, daily, for President George W. Bush.

I saw the President. I'm glad he stated that he wants the resolution to give him the authority to use force. He made it clear that this is the policy of the government. The RATS are on notice. Not all RATS are going to want this - Daschle will go crazy trying to get this off the table...I was happy last night to see Art Linkletter and the seniors in S.D. putting pressure on little tommy.

First of all, there are no negotiations to be held with Iraq. They have nothing to negotiate. I LOVE this guy!

either you can be the United Nations, a capable body, a body able to keep the peace, or you can be the League of Nations. I saw the whole thing on Fox and this was my favorite part!! Boy does Pres. Bush have backbone!!!

But WAIT!
I thought Bush was a NWO traitor? I thought Bush was not a true conservative, yet indeed perhaps a liberal? And Powell? He was labeled a traitor of amazing proportion. I read the very same thing on Free Republic by any number of folks that Bush is as bad or worse than Clinton was. I WISH I HAD COMPILED A PING LIST OF THOSE NITWITS!!!
Now we stand on the precipice of Bush single handedly destroying all remaining credibilty of the UN, triggered by its own hypocrisy. Something unimaginable under Clinton or Gore or even Bush 41!!!
All those folks that screamed "US out of the UN" are getting dangerously close to getting their wish, and all I hear is crickets! Hello? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Please put me on both lists, PhiKap!
I saw this too. Man, do I love the no nonsense approach President Bush takes! Wimps (like Daschle) just buckle when confronted with real strength.
And the UN is proving to be as irrelevant as our President said it would be.

"There are no negotiations to be held with Iraq."
This is the mark of a grand master negotiator.

Way to go W. I saw the exchange. It always amazing me that the President has to spell it out for the idiots in the press. "No negotiations." Well, duh.

At the United Nations Security Council it is very important that the members understand that the credibility of the United Nations is at stake, that the Security Council must be firm in its resolve to deal with a truth threat to world peace, and that is Saddam Hussein. That the United Nations Security Council must work with the United States and Britain and other concerned parties to send a clear message that we expect Saddam to disarm. And if the United Nations Security Council won't deal with the problem, the United States and some of our friends will. I just love this guy ..
