Is Drudge Turing Liberal?
Me
Posted on 09/18/2002 11:04:24 AM PDT by GulliverSwift
Look at this Drudge Headline from Yesterday, quoting bush saying "WE WILL NOT BE FOOLED" And at the same time putting up this picture of Bush:
What is he trying to say?
And then there's his never-ending obsession with what liberal hollywodd people are saying, as well as doing. I DON'T CARE what a dime a dozen actor thinks!
I think he's letting liberal reporter's culture seep into him. It's sad.

Drudge is a Legend in his own mind! He is so full of his own self importance & wisdom. Didn't Drudge get fired by Foxnews?

"WE WILL NOT BE FOOLED" I didn't catch the rest of Drudge on this, but MY guess would be that the president and his administration will not be bambozzled by that @$$ Hussein into thinking all is rosy now that he has invited in UN inspectors. I think it's a rather strong quote on the part of President Bush, not a statement of ridicule.
Also, I think he likes to post the views of the liberal Hollyweird types because it gets the conservatives' blood flowing. Can't you recall thread after thread HERE on Alec Baldwin and Barbara Streisand? Don't think it means he agrees with it, necessarily. He knows the bulk of his audience and the red meat they like to chew.

I don't see that much wrong with the picture, but as far as Drudge goes, he claims to be conservative about a lot of things but he's a Bush hater. Dunno why, but it is pretty obvious.

What's wrong with the picture? And Drudge has always written about Hollywood crap. That's where he got his start. His website gets 4 million visitors per day. He's singlehandedly made books like Bias and Slander into NYT bestsellers. He's important.

Hi pettifogger! IMHO, you've answered the inquiry correctly....

I never go to the Drudge site anymore. FR is a far better source of news.

Seems to me that three things cause confusion about Drudge's views:
1. He posts stories that are bizarre or sensational, regardless of who's involved.
2. He gained a lot of prominence because of the Lewinsky stories he broke during the blue dress days, leading many to assume (understandably) that he's a conservative.
3. He's a populist, at least when it comes to his consistent distrust of large corporations.
One of the reasons I stopped visiting his site as much as I once did is that I got so bored with his diatribes against "aolcnntimewarner insert other assimilated corporations here". Not that I'm a fan of that particular coroporation, because I'm most definitely not, but it's a boring issue.

Is dRudge turning liberal? I think you need the "duh hold muh beer award " He is and always has been a liberal. He is fed stories from the left, has a huge infatuation with hollywood and is obssessed with Hitlery.

The president said this yesterday:
"There's an old saying in TennesseeI know it's in Texas, probably in Tennesseethat says, fool me once, shame onshame on you. Fool meyou can't get fooled again."Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

I like his website, but his radio show sucks. He's way too abrasive and doesn't seem like someone you would want as a friend.

I never go to the Drudge site anymore. FR is a far better source of news.Which is kinda funny since a large part of what is posted here comes directly from his site.

I think Drudge is a Buchanan guy. He's not turning liberal, but he's not a huge Bush fan. Obviously, that's just a guess.

George looks both confused and angry in that picture!

You're right; he's important. Drudge is good for us, even if we don't like what he does from time to time.

For every ONE story of Drudge that is posted here, a HUNDRED other stories are posted.

Drudge is a knee jerk dufus. Uneducated, uninformed, and becoming a bore.
As for the picture.......I LOVE IT!!!

Is Drudge Turing Liberal?
Who the hell is Drudge Turing? Matt Drudge and Alan Turing's love child, perhaps?
BTW, Drudge not liking Bush hardly makes Drudge a liberal. Bush is hardly a conservative, himself. I know a lot of conservatives, or anyway, non-liberals, who don't like Bush. Since when did FR become a Bushbot-only website?
....nevermind, don't answer that.
