Drudge is a Legend in his own mind! He is so full of his own self importance & wisdom. Didn't Drudge get fired by Foxnews?

"WE WILL NOT BE FOOLED" I didn't catch the rest of Drudge on this, but MY guess would be that the president and his administration will not be bambozzled by that @$$ Hussein into thinking all is rosy now that he has invited in UN inspectors. I think it's a rather strong quote on the part of President Bush, not a statement of ridicule.
Also, I think he likes to post the views of the liberal Hollyweird types because it gets the conservatives' blood flowing. Can't you recall thread after thread HERE on Alec Baldwin and Barbara Streisand? Don't think it means he agrees with it, necessarily. He knows the bulk of his audience and the red meat they like to chew.

I don't see that much wrong with the picture, but as far as Drudge goes, he claims to be conservative about a lot of things but he's a Bush hater. Dunno why, but it is pretty obvious.

What's wrong with the picture? And Drudge has always written about Hollywood crap. That's where he got his start. His website gets 4 million visitors per day. He's singlehandedly made books like Bias and Slander into NYT bestsellers. He's important.

I never go to the Drudge site anymore. FR is a far better source of news.

Seems to me that three things cause confusion about Drudge's views:
1. He posts stories that are bizarre or sensational, regardless of who's involved.
2. He gained a lot of prominence because of the Lewinsky stories he broke during the blue dress days, leading many to assume (understandably) that he's a conservative.
3. He's a populist, at least when it comes to his consistent distrust of large corporations.
One of the reasons I stopped visiting his site as much as I once did is that I got so bored with his diatribes against "aolcnntimewarner insert other assimilated corporations here". Not that I'm a fan of that particular coroporation, because I'm most definitely not, but it's a boring issue.

Is dRudge turning liberal? I think you need the "duh hold muh beer award " He is and always has been a liberal. He is fed stories from the left, has a huge infatuation with hollywood and is obssessed with Hitlery.

I like his website, but his radio show sucks. He's way too abrasive and doesn't seem like someone you would want as a friend.

I think Drudge is a Buchanan guy. He's not turning liberal, but he's not a huge Bush fan. Obviously, that's just a guess.

George looks both confused and angry in that picture!

Is Drudge Turing Liberal?
Who the hell is Drudge Turing? Matt Drudge and Alan Turing's love child, perhaps?
BTW, Drudge not liking Bush hardly makes Drudge a liberal. Bush is hardly a conservative, himself. I know a lot of conservatives, or anyway, non-liberals, who don't like Bush. Since when did FR become a Bushbot-only website?
....nevermind, don't answer that.

Drudge isn't a party-line guy. His idol is fast-talking snap-brimmed newshound Walter Winchell. And gossip-hunting was always more important to Winchell than anything else.
There's also a thin-line between posting funny, affectionate, Bush-positive pictures of the President as lucianne.com does and posting funny, nasty, Bush-negative pictures of GWB as a leftist site would. Sometimes how one reacts is in the eye of the beholder.
But Drudge is nothing like the kind of phenomenon he was four or five years ago. We know more sites now that will give us what we want, so there's little need to visit his site anymore.

I miss Drudge on Fox News TV. I loved his program; it was the only of its kind. Drudge is great! For victory & freedom!!!

Nothing new here. Drudge made his reputation bashing clinton, but he has always hated Bush. During the campaign he broke several lying stories about Bush. I have NEVER seen him put Bush in a good light on his web pages.

Wanna square-up the sleeze meister Sludge?
Don't go there: ever.
I even took it a step further myself, too; after having been long fed-up with this creep's Lamestream muckraking tactics.
...I made Foxnews my homepage.

Let me get this straight. If you don't agree with President Bush, a Republican, then you're a liberal? I don't agree with him, I think that his is yet another administration that continues to trounce on the Constitution in order to secure power for the country's elite. I guess I could be considered a liberal, except for the basic contradiction: I believe in the CONSTITUTION!

Drudge is first of all a gossip columnist. He loves sleeze. He lives for rumor and the current buzz that is going around. He throws in hard news when he finds it appropriate. You have to take him for what he is. He is out front with a lot of stories. The Lewinsky matter will be his crowning glory and he will be remembered for that forever. I enjoy him and go their first thing in the morning. He is right of center but he goes where the news is. You have to respect him for that.
