Don't worry...he didnt' stay there long....kind of like me and Denver--only spent my first 10 months there...then on to the frozen tundra of Minnesota, where, like W and his next state - I formed my roots (or should I say roooooooots <--with MN accent ;-))

Jesse would be okay, if he took JUST that little extra time to think before he spoke. Mostly, I like his straight talk though...kinda refreshing from a politician.

When asked why he was selling dolls of himself for raising campaign money, he said, "I'd rather sell a tangible item, than my influence." ---When he says stuff like that...THAT's when I like him, A LOT ;-)

QUOTE OF THE DAY: This is more than academic failure. Ignorance of American history and civics weakens our sense of citizenship. To be an American is not just a matter of blood or birth; we are bound by ideals, and our children must know those ideals.

I liked that statement today, too.

You'd have a blast in Minnesota, too! There'd be some little old lady saying..."OOOOH, Herb....listen to that nice person talkin' kinda funny....must be from out of town...maybe we should invite 'em over tah dinner!

When I was in 10th grade, we went with the 3M Travel Club to Spain..Morroco and Tangers...Picture this...we're in the Casbah, a bunch of Minnesotans in our "PARKAS" watching them kill chickens in the streets...it was hysterical!

My people are (for the most part) so humble, honest, and cute.

Happy to see today's upbeat photos--lookin' good.

President Bush mentioned in his speech about the failings of history knowledge that x-number of students couldn't identify words from the Gettysburg address. I'm sure that was to directly remind us of this quote,
The last time I checked, the Constitution said, "of the people, by the people and for the people. That's what the Declaration of Independence says.
spoken by Rhodes scholar #42.

Good to see dork Gore make a fool of himself again in the news. The man is weird and everyone should notice.

He claims Norfolk as his home town. In fact, he was my High School commencement speaker. Every thing in this town is Johnny Carson track, Carson Cancer center, Museum etc., etc....in fact he is sending our museum his Emmy's and his Kennedy Center medal not just to display but to keep! Even has a street named for him with big bill boards with his picture on them.
