Three in Florida Involved Terrorist Threat to be Released Shortly? Should They Be Released?
CNN | 9/13/02 | Joe Hadenuf

Posted on 09/13/2002 1:56:21 PM PDT by Joe Hadenuf

I just heard someone on CNN, I was out of the room, say that the highway in Florida will be opened soon and that the suspects will be released.

This is hard to believe. This had to cost millions to investigate this. This major highway was shut down for many hours.

Do they just discount what Eunice stated in Georgia.

A short time ago an attorney and spokespeople/family members for the family basically called Eunice in Georgia, a media whore, and insinuated she was a racist.

Does this not set a precedent for future hands off Middle Easterners scenario? Does this not raise the libility risk of investigating Mid Easterners.

Will others refrain from reporting possible terrorist incidents due to this incident?

Marines landing on Japanese-held island during WWII:

Marine #1: It must cost a fortune to fire those 16-inch guns.

Marine #2: Screw the expense!

Someone actually insinuated Eunice was a "media whore?" For the love of God. I don't know what anybody wants in this country anymore. She did what she had to do.

If there is any justice, these three men will face a class action lawsuit for the damage that they have caused by their malicious actions.

That's exactly what one of the family members/family attorney suggested. And yes, she did exactly what she was suppose to do. All suggested this is just racism....

Class action lawsuit is a great idea. . .use the left's own weapon against them. Where's a good lawyer when you need one. . .(oops, oxymoron).

These men should be released.

Over the Atlantic Ocean. From a mile up. At night. Naked. Wrapped in nets. Weighted with stones. Covered with sharkbait.

Hmmmm... did I forget anything....

If they actually made the threats and ran the tollbooth, they should be prosecuted, just like the people who made fake anthrax threats. If they didn't, let them go.

No more than a person should be released within 24 hours of making such terrorist comments right before boarding a domestic US airliner.

Perhaps instead of worrying so much about this patriotic woman in GA, they should be worrying about the message that the behavior of their own children sends to America.

Yes, I was thinking a Class Action Suit by all of us for the pain and suffering their cruel joke caused the Nation today...But that won't happen.

I believe Eunice. She heard what she did, she had no reason to embellish or lie about the incident.

The men's families should be ashamed of these guys and apologize to our Nation, instead of calling Eunice a "racist" and whine about their civil rights being violated. Shame on them!

If you crack a joke about a bomb while on a plane, thereby interferring with the flight for a few minutes, you can go to jail.

These jokers bring half the state of Florida to a standstill for a day, joking about some catastrophe worse than 9/11, and they're gonna be released!!!???

First they should go to jail for many years, then be deported . . . hopefully to the glowing rubble of the Middle East.

Somebody seems to be at work here, cleverly creating a 'national test case'. They'll milk it for every ounce of guilt that Americans can be programmed by the boob tube to summon from within. Very clever. Very clever ploy indeed.

No release. Send these joking 'medical students' to Guantanamo (a one hour flight) so they can be questioned further.

Yeah, score one for them, huh?

Eunice did the right thing but right now I bet she's wishing she had a tape recorder at the time. Then we could get them for inciting to riot or something.

I'd rather that the FBI hassle these guys about anthrax than Hatfill.

This looks like a H-U-G-E media event over-hyped to the max.

Yes, and didn't someone say the guys admitted to saying things with the deliberate intent to offend and alarm? If true, they have no right to complain that their offensive and threatening remarks were taken seriously and caused the reaction they wished for. What did they THINK would happen? Their threats were to be ignored? Idiots.
