Basically they are trashing his accent and pronounciation of words. No real repudiation of his points, just personal attacks that have nothing to do with the problem. As if they are shining examples of education in this country.

Actually I hope they are successful in putting pressure on the Democrats so that they have to take some stand, either for or against.....
But what I would like to see is someone else involved besides McCain/Lott.... I'd like to see a new leader step up to the plate and be in position to challenge Lott for Majority Leader if and when the Republicans get the Senate back. It's time for Lott to go, imo.

Last night Bush mentioned that Rumsfeld believes in having boots on the ground before air attacks. I think we have been seeing a shift in personnel in getting those boots on the ground for IRAQ.

Oh I believe in multi-lateral action. Multi-laterally use the Navy, Army, Marines and Air force.Great line....... : )

UNESCO is into 'population control' and 'sustainable development' schemes. You know, they tell you where to live, how to live and how many babies you can have.

You may be right. It was no fluke of "chads" that he is the president at this time. It is no accident that we have a president who is guided by his faith and who is unashamed of that faith. His lead by example style is making an impression around the world.

HoooAAAH!
An outstanding speech!
I just love the way that Bush used the UN's own findings and resolutions against it. (And yes, this speech was as much "against the UN" as "against Iraq".) The UN has been whining for a part in this, and Bush showed the blowhards that they've had one all along.

She just was floored that he wasn't out at a 9-11 thingAnd these are the same people that call Bush stupid?

if it had been the former president...it would have been shown over and over and over
again (esp. considering that the two boys were black
I guess I've gotten philisophical...I was just happy that two kids would
show such open affection to our leader...and that the propoganda officers at
a major network were too lazy to keep it off the air.

By heritage and by choice, the United States of America will make that stand. Delegates to the United Nations, you have the power to make that stand as well. Translation: we're doing it with or without you. The UN is now irrelevant.

Isn't that the truth -- they will be whining about this is an election year and he cannot do this! This was great!

Excellent speech. Thanks for posting.

That was one heckuva speech this morning, if that doesn't shake up our European "allies" then they are hopeless.
Or, more clearly, "Schroeder, Du Bist Hopeless"

Background on my post
#944: More than 500 Sailors and Marines assemble on the flight deck of the USS Belleau Wood Friday Sept. 6, 2002 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States by spelling out the now famous quote from Mr. Todd Beamer, Lets Roll. Beamer was one of the heroic passengers on United Flight 93, which crashed in a western Pennsylvania field after he and several other passengers attempted to regain control of the plane from terrorist hijackers. Many believe theterrorists were heading for Washington, D.C. Currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, the 40,000-ton amphibious assault ship is the lead element of a three-ship Amphibious Readiness Group (ARG). The ship carries a crew of 1,000 Sailors and more than 1,300 Marines of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) based at Camp Pendleton, Calif. (AP Photo/ U.S. Navy photo by Chief Photographers Mate Steven L. Cooke.)
