Must of missed her "thesis." All I read was a lame attempt to smear the NYT followed by a rant about Islam. The first half of her article has nothing to do with the second half. The two parts do not support each other. My dispute is with the first part, which can easily be dismissed with the little research I did.

I presume (I admit) that Ann is holding America's newspaper of record to a higher standard, as well we should.

So is it the paper of record or a fishwrapper? Coulter can't make up her mind. According to her, the Times was one of only three papers to carry the shoelace story. Rather than commend the paper for that, though, she instead complains about where the story appeared in the paper. Shouldn't she complain about the Wall Street Journal or the Washington Times NOT carrying the story AT ALL? Double standard maybe? She also fails ot point out that it was Reuters that left out he was a Muslim (I can't find a source to verify it either), not the NYT. Evasion by omission. She makes a similar mistake when stating that the Times speculated a motive in the El Al shooting was a fare dispute, when in fact it was the agent interviewed about the case. That's a dispute with her "facts"!

If you'd like, I can also provide you with some links to critiques of her aptly-named book "Slander," which is full of lazy "research."

Yes. Zero. Islam did not do it. People who are calling themselves Islamic have, however.

Have Christians done stupid stuff in the name of religion? Yes, but I would not call it Christianity doing it. Anyway what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Do Christians really believe that on some fundamental level that Allah is the same entity as Christ The King?

I often hear that. It seems logical that God, as worshipped by Jews, is the same as for Christians - but Allah? (These questions are non-rhetorical in nature.)

Every ethnic group has its "useful idiots." No informed Christians (or Jews) make that blasphemous identification!

Far be it from me to call Coulter a liar, but if she had bothered to read the story she would find that Todd's race is never mentioned. So how does she know it's "inciting hatred toward white American boys"?
