My name is Adolf (Todd Beamer prayed to a different God)Ann Coulter

My name is Adolf

Among the patriotic lesson plans for 9-11 was one proposed by the National Council for Social Studies, which recommends a short story titled "My Name is Osama." Calculatedly inciting hatred toward white American boys, the story is about a nasty little boy, "Todd," who taunts an Iraqi immigrant named "Osama."

This is the lesson to commemorate the biggest hate crime in history – committed by someone named "Osama" against people with names like "Todd." How about a 1942 lesson plan titled "My name is Adolf"? Might the 9-11 lesson plan inquire into what little "Osama" thinks about the terrorist attack? May we ask? (Question from the actual lesson plan: "Why, do you think, did Osama's family leave Iraq?" Incorrect answer: Because his father wanted to go to flight school in America.)

Since the horrific attack by practitioners of the "Religion of Peace," there have been a slew of hate crimes – committed by Muslims against Americans. Hesham Mohamed Hadayet murdered two and wounded many more at Los Angeles International Airport. Suleyman al-Faris, aka "John Walker Lindh," joined an attack in Afghanistan that left Michael Spann dead. Abdel Rahim, aka "Richard Reid," tried but failed to murder a plane-load of people on an American Airlines jet headed to Miami.

The only backlash by actual Americans – not imaginary characters named "Todd" – consists of precisely one confirmed hate crime. Some nut in Arizona murdered a Sikh thinking he was a Muslim. Current hate crime tally: Muslims: 3,000 (and counting); White Guys: 1.

In the spirit of specifically targeting only the worrisome Muslims, I note that the media have inadvertently identified several of them with blinding clarity. In case you missed these stories, I bring them to your attention so you will be forewarned: Do not fly with any of these kids.

Soon after the terrorist attack, the New York Times chatted with students at the Al Noor School, a private Islamic academy in Brooklyn – evidently the Arab equivalent of the Horace Mann High School (Anthony Lewis, '44). None of the students said they had experienced any harassment since Sept. 11. To the contrary, their school had been deluged with support from local Catholic schools, hospitals, state education officials and political leaders.

But the love was entirely one-sided. The students stated point-blank that they would not fight for America against a fellow Muslim, denied that Osama bin Laden was behind the attacks, and criticized the United States for always opposing Muslims.

"Isn't it ironic," one student sneered, "that the interests of America are always against what Muslims want?" (That's why the last several major American interventions abroad – in Kuwait, Somalia, the Balkans – were all conducted in defense of Muslims.) Though uniformly refusing to believe bin Laden was behind the terrorist attack, the students showed a remarkable lack of curiosity about who was.

Students from the Al Noor School were interviewed again a few weeks ago, this time by CBS' "60 Minutes." The students instantly and enthusiastically agreed with the proposition that a "Muslim who becomes a suicide bomber goes to Paradise for that action." "Definitely," one student said, calling a female suicide bomber "very brave."

"Do you believe they are martyrs? Holy martyrs?" Again, without hesitation, the students affirmed: "Yes" and "of course."

As to whether suicide bombers would go to Paradise, the students said they earnestly hoped so. "I mean, they're doing it for a good cause," one boy explained. "I pray that they go to Paradise," another said. Not only that, but one student said, "I think we'd all probably do the same."

Weeks later, at the urging of the principal, the students modified their answers slightly. But according to CBS, "None of them changed their view that suicide bombers in Israel would go to Paradise." The Islamic studies teacher at Al Noor claimed the students misunderstood true Islam: "If you go to chapter 4, verse 29, it says so clear, 'Do not kill yourself.'"

It's always so comforting when Muslims cite the precise verse from the Quran that tells them killing is wrong. Don't all empathetic human beings understand that instinctively? What if they lost their Quran that day and couldn't remember?

In any event, and more to the point, the Quran does not strictly inveigh against killing and dying for Allah. In the eye-opening book "Unveiling Islam," Christian-convert authors Ergun Mehmet Caner and Emir Fethi Caner say the Quran "promises Paradise to those who die in battle for Islam more certainly than it promises salvation to anyone else."

The Quran instructs: "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day ... until they pay compensation with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." It promises that "if you are slain or die in the way of Allah, forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass." Muhammad says: "Fighting is prescribed upon you. ... Tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter."

The real "Todd" of Sept. 11 prayed to a different God. Realizing the Muslim hijackers were on a mission of death, Todd Beamer and the other men decided to fight back.

He did not shout "God is great!" before ripping out an innocent man's entrails. He prayed: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me."

Well don't forget to start the count with the 3 million black Christians slaughtered in Sudan by militant Muslims from the North during the mid-1990s.

I'm not a Christian.

Do Christians really believe that on some fundamental level that Allah is the same entity as Christ The King?

I often hear that. It seems logical that God, as worshipped by Jews, is the same as for Christians - but Allah? (These questions are non-rhetorical in nature.)

I'm waiting to find anyone willing or able to deconstruct and effectively refute a single one of this lady's articles. Yes, she's aggressive. So WHAT? When will conversatives realize we're in a knife fight with the Left, and platitudes aren't very useful?

No, I can definitely state that the God of orthodox Christianity is much different than the God of Islam. Although Islam to spring out of Judaism, their God is much different in type and actions.

Without getting into the many specifics, the biggest difference is that Islam claims that Allah is one and has no equal and of course has no Son. Christianity believes that God is a trinity. John 1:1. Very clear. Some "Christians" will try to claim that Allah and God are the same. Don't believe them, they do not speak for God.

OK, so Chapter 4, verse 29 says clearly do not kill yourself. The rest of the Quran tells them to kill everybody else though. And what's with the teacher's lame excuse about the students not understanding "true Islam." Criminy... this is the Islamc studies teacher saying the students don't understand. That's the teacher's job.. to make them understand. Translation: I am a really incompetent teacher of Islam, and ought to be fired by the peaceful administrators of Al-Noor School.

Nice Coulter column. She cuts to the chase, PC be damned. "PC" is a misnomer. It is not morally, logically or politically correct. It's manipulative and "victim mentality" focused.

We must focus on who did this to us. And guess what.. it was Muslims. All 19 of them. It doesn't take Jessica Fletcher to figure out where this case is going.

Jews and Christians both believe in the same monotheistic God - the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and believe that the Old Testament is the Word of God. Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah and Son of God, who was foretold in the Old Testament, and the New Testament is an accurate reflection of the Word of God - covering the time around when Jesus lived/was crucified/was resurrected, and the formation of the early Church.

Islam, as formed by Mohammed ... was founded in a region where polytheism was rampant. The moon god, "ALLAH", was selected by Mohammed (most Muslim countries have a crescent moon and star on their flag). Mohammed (an illiterate but smart businessman- warrior - leader - narrated the Koran to a scribe. The early Koran has contradictions with the later writings. (This helped fuel the book by Salmud Rushdie - the "Satanic Verses" ... where the premise is that the scribe for Mohammed actually writes different words than what the "Prophet" Mohammed directs, and given Mohammed's inability to read, the Prophet doesn't catch the mistakes. And the early Koran is more peaceful, while the later Koran has more hate for non-believers. (This is the reverse of the Bible with the Old Testament and New Testament . . . where the New Testament is more on forgiveness, loving your enemy, and persuading people to belive, rather than forcing them to believe at the point of a sword. But even the OT was more peaceful to other people and religions (outside of the Promised Land).)

Of course, the Old Testament and New Testament carry the concept that a Prophet of God speaks the Word of God, and must be accurate and without error, and that God has preserved His Word through the centuries. It would seem that the Koran is filled with contradictions and errors, and would fail the test that the Bible is held to. (Let us not get into the Old Universe/Young Universe controvesy). There are some excellent books that do a critical analysis of the errors of the Koran (also written as "Qur'an" ). Might I suggest: "The Qur'an and the Bible, in the light of history and science", by Dr. William Campbell.

There is lot of info on Mohammed ... but the bottom line is he was more friendly to Jews and Christians in the early times, and then became extremely destructive and intolerant to them in later years. For those who criticize the Crusades as being cruel ... they forget that the Muslims invaded the Christian/Jewish Holy Land that had been peaceful, and forced conversions (accept or die), and set in motion all the ensuing horror that happened during the several Crusades.

Bottom line: Allah is not the same God as the Christian and Jewish God. Islam rejects much of the Old Testament and New Testament; they consider themselves to be Abraham's offspring through Ismael, the son of Hagar (Sarah's handmaid) - and therefore they consider much of the Old Testament, which is about the offspring of Abraham's son Isaac, irrelevant. Islam rejects the idea that Jesus is the Son of God, and they reject many of the miracles attributed to Jesus.

The three religions differ in another respect...................

Moses was never able to enter the promised land.

Jesus was crucified, and Christianity was a persecuted minority religion for centuries.

Muhammad conquered his promised land and achieved victory and power during his lifetime. He was a secular ruler who made war and peace, and collected taxes as well as teaching religious revelation.

I feel that these differences affect the practitioners of these Faiths.

Al Noor is a liar. I have the N. J. Dawood translation of the Koran. My copy has this for verse 29: "Do not kill one another." This follows an admonition to trade among Islamists only. It is not about suicide.

If you think my translation may be off we can look up other sources. Here are three more translations. One by Yusuf Ali: "Eat not up your property among yourselves...Nor kill (or destroy) yourselves"; one by Marmaduke Mohammad Pickthall: "Squander not your wealth among yourselves...kill not one another" and another one by M.H. Shakir: "do not devour your property among yourselves falsely,... and do not kill your people."

All clearly speak of not killing another believer in Islam, not one's own self. Never trust these people. They will lie given any chance. 60 Minutes did not bother to look it up. Ann Coulter did not bother to look it up. I looked it up and I conclude he is a lier.

Allah is a minor Arabian moon god as I understand it. Not the same as the Jews' and Christians' old Tetragramaton at all.

It is my understanding however, that the Arabic word 'Allah' is used to translate the English 'God'. Meaning Arabic speaking Christians refer to God as 'Allah'. I don't think that is what you were asking though.
