The linked site has a massive collection of WTC photos, most of them taken by amateurs.
The site is set up for browsing. I looked at number 1484, a gripping photo of jumpers (plural intended).

That number 1484 pic was in USA Today earlier this week. I've been looking on-line for it ever since. When the whining, sappy, head-in-the-sand idiots at work say we shouldn't go to war, we should put all this behind us
(and believe me, they have been saying these things) I've pointed to that shot and asked if they would feel any different if that was their mother, father or child.
Thanks for the post.

Awesome find, aculeus. As I view the photos it is just like being back at 9/11 and I feel the same disbelief as then, that anyone could do this.
TV stations should have regular moments of silence and run slide shows of photos like these.
We must never forget.

While on vacation, I climbed a tower in Astoria OR, overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River. While clinging to the handrail at the top I quickly thought what it must've been like to been in the WTC while it was burning. I could only imagine that it must have been really bad if they jumped from that high up. Especially, when none of those people woke up in the morning intending to off themselves.
It must have been colassally bad.

It must have been colassally bad. My theory is that at least in some cases the people who jumped saw the floor behind them collapsing into an inferno.
Or perhaps they could hear the tower's structural elements failing and feel the tower shudder.
I don't think something as big as those towers will fail all at once. Even though we couldn't see it in video images taken from the ground, the death of the buildings was foreshadowed by many frightening indications that would have been unmistakable to anyone with even a modicum of technical knowledge.
There were many, many such people in the tower that day.
Damn those b*stards. Damn them.

There is one photo of a crowd scene, and its mezmerizing to look at their faces as they look up to the Towers.Mouths agape, eyes bulging in terror, some obviously shouting, many just stunned by what they are witnessing.I find it one of the most powerful images I've seen yet from that day.

Wow..thanks for the link. I could not help but think that the media has done its best to wipe the gross evil that struck this country right out of peoples minds. These pics should be seen often by our fellow citizens. It would seem to me that had we been seeing these images the last twelve months..hey..who in good conscience could drag their feet on the war on terrorism?
