Sadly, "Postman", the book, was great. Of course it was written, what, 25 - 30 years ago?
Any movie with Kevin Costner should just be avoided. Period. Too bad they had to trash a good book into a Costner movie. But that's Hollywood.

The China Syndrome.
Thelma and Louise.
Erin Brockovich.

I just remembered "The Survivors" with Robin Williams and Walter Mathau. A VERY funny movie until about the last 10 minutes or so. Then it went to PC hell in a handbasket.

11.A Face In The Crowd.
What was wrong with this flick? I thought it was terrific! That ad sequence for Vitajex was incredible.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Dead Man Walking.. put together by that PC domestic partner team of Sarandon and Robbins.

No - Gattaca was ANTI-PC!!! There was a huge debate about Gattaca here on FreeRepublic some time in the last year. The reason I liked it so much was its message of the power of the human spirit and the individual against a socialist state that determines everyone's carrers and lives.
And I love Uma too. (but she has made some terrible movies - that BATMAN she was in bite bigtime)
OH - AND NO ONE RIP ON the Duke's GREEN BERETS! Yeah it has the sun set in the east, and lots of comic book violence, but it was a good movie. (ok - maybe not - but it was a pseudo-Pro Vietnam movie, and pro-soldier). Like Hamchuck would say: "Where is mah PETERSAAHN?"

Wow. "Mission To Moscow"! That is my pick as well! I didn't post it because it is almost never seen nowadays as it is a total and complete embarassment to Hollywood. If it were to be seen today it would completely destroy the myth of the Hollywood persecution suffered at the hands of the evil "red baiting" government. This was a movie that actually apporved of the murder of "traitors" at the time of the Great Purge in Russia in which millions died and our Roosevelt press covered up. This film actually made one defector, upon seeing the film in a theater in America, draw blood from his own hands with his nails and teeth as he didn't want to cry out for it was such a lie.
This film will never be shown on AMC or Turners networks as it would show the left in America to be the moral degenrates that they are.

Adam Sandler movies destroy brain cells faster than any drugs or alcohol known to man. Think I saw 10 minutes of the one where he inherits a kid and teaches him all these bad things. And LITTLE NICKY looked horrible. It was painful to watch the previews for it! And it bombed.

Chicken RunOh, no! Just bought that one for my 3 year old, sight unseen, because I had heard it was a cute movie. We haven't watched it yet, and now I don't want to. ; * )

How about "Dances With Wolves"? I've tried to sit through this thing a few times but am disgusted with the fact that EVERY white guy is evil or dumb or both while Costner and the Indians are all saints.
"The Contender" was similarly unwatchable.

I not sure if I would call that movie PC, I don't know what to call it... But I'm sure I lost IQ points just by watching it.

Thelma and Louise- great pick. Right up there. Made me wince.

My vote goes to "The American President", starring Michael Douglas, directed by Meathead the Leftist. Typical liberal drivel about fossil fuels causing global warming and numerous anti-gun references.
To: pittsburgh gop guy
I was referring more towards "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore". Brain cell killers? Maybe! But I had some laugh out loud moments. Oh! And don't forget "Tommy Boy" with Chris Farley. One of the funniest things I've ever seen. But then, my sense of humor is in the can anyhow.

Dang. I forgot to put that in my first post... Surprised it got this far without anyone mentioning it...

Field of Dreams. I did like it, but the scene where the farmwife goes ballistic and calls another mother a "Nazi Cow" because she doesn't want a dirty book in the school library was so PC I couldn't stand it. I mean, in a real midwestern high school, the farmwife would have been ever so politely shunned.

Dead man walking or Dangerous minds.

Surprised no one has mentioned "Reds" (Warren Beatty, even more annoying than usual) or "The Last Supper".

You're thinking of On Deadly Ground.

Love your handle and totally agree, though I favor the late, great Jim Varney for sheer silly enjoyment.
