A Steven Segal movie called "Fire Down Below" where he plays an EPA agent trying to stop bad, evil corporate polluters from destroying the environment. This is bad enough, but he tops this crapfest off with a long drawn out speech to a group of Indians about how evil America is destroying the planet. Complete with propaganda photos of oil-soaked birds and vintage 70's videos of LA at it's smoggiest. Absolute puke from start to finish. This movie single-handedly turned me into a Segal hater. I truly question his sanity now, all he does is go around in those native-American clothes pretending to be one with nature. this movie depicts his first descent into insanity.

"Why German-Americans and Italian-Americans were not also interned?"
Probably because Germans and Italians hadn't launched a sneak attack against American Forces on American territory and raised the spectre of an attack on the mainland.
Of course there will always be the occasional cultural/historical illiterate who will try to pimp you into blaming racism.

"Won't see PC movies if I can help it."
Same, and I also will not see stupid movies if I can help it. Dumb comedies are just wastes of time and I would rather read a book. Ditto for bad horror flicks. Sometimes when I am with friends or family I end up watching something bad - and bear it. But if I find myself at the video store and have any doubts about a movie - I just don't rent it.
Some recent good movies:
We Were Soldiers - Man, close combat like it has never been portrayed
Black Hawk Down - Sad but true story (F CLINTON!!!!)
Lord of the Rings - Never read the books, but found the movie interesting

Source?? There were plenty of German POWs in camps in the US, but I know of NO general round-up of American citizens of german ancestry (for one thing, there were c. 10 million of them!!). Sounds like Urban Legend to me [Or possibly a few actual Bundists], but I would be interested in any source you might have.

Dumb comedies are just wastes of time I have to disagree. You havn't lived until you have indulged yourself in a Jim Carrey (pre-Truman Show), Adam Sandler, Chris Farley film festival. C'mon. Everyone needs to live a little. :)

Most of them.

The Green Berets was a stupid movie but can it be called "right wing"? A truly stupid right wing movie I can't even think of. There are some that are suggestively right wing- Like "Metropolitan" and "Barcelona" (made in the ealry 90's)- but other than that I can't think of one in over 50 years. Yes- maybe one or two- "Forest Gump". And "Glory".

Yeah, I loved that show when I was in middle school. Then I didn't see it for years until they reran on the Sci-Fi network, and I was like, "Oh my God, this is sh*t!" I couldn't believe how horrible it was.

From someone who has read the book - the movie was miscast and the screenplay badly done. I was disapointed with Fellowship of the Rings.

Funny you should mention the Big Chill...back when I was a flaming liberal (before I grew up), that was my all time favorite film.. I recently tried to watch my old copy of it.. I couldn't even get halfway through it without getting angry...I threw it in the trash.

Gattaca---Both PC and the worst movie ever made.

I see that no one here has seen Elvis Presley's last dramatic flick and a desperate attempt at relevance (1969 or so) with Mary Tyler Moore playing a nun (!) and Elvis a medical doctor in a Potemkin village urban ghetto, Change of Habit. I'll give away the ending (sorry) and tell you that in the end Mary gets horny and does in fact change her habit, while another nun Barbara McNair, stays on the plantation, so to speak, and I can't remember what happens to our favourite political scientist who's also in the movie, Edward Asner. It's a riot, see it!

Any foreign film, or film at the Sundance "Redford" film festival.

"Even the right can be cought up in this AKA "The Green Beret's."
Hey watch out! That's got one of the greatest John Wayne lines of all time: "Out here due process is a bullet in the back."

Yeah they virtually removed Bill the Pony. They ought to be slapped for that.

John Q was the first thing that I thought of too.

Primary Colors almost had me thinking it was half-way O.K., UNTIL they "proved" the Gennifer Flowers tapes a hoax. Does anybody know if that was part of the book? Yes, it was in the book too. This electronics guru named Sailor found some splices and intercepted cell phone conservations on the tape. Afterwards, Libby ripped Stanton a new one for talking on a cell phone.
That's how the book covered it. I didn't see the movie.
