The gulls look so much more beautiful in a picture than flying around the ferry pestering the people. Who knows when they're going to make a deposit?!???

In the car he feasted on homemade cookies, pumpkin bread, drank several cans of Vanilla Coke, and ate, of all things, one of his favorite treats-fruit snacks. We went back to the hotel, where he relaxed in civilian clothes (and comfortable undies) then went to Red Lobster for dinner. We spent a quiet evening in the hotel, and the next day got up late, ate a huge brunch at Cracker Barrel, went to a local Louisville mall where he bought a few CD's and listened to them, went downtown to a coffee specialty store, then out to dinner at a Texas Roadhouse, where he downed a "Cowboy sized" steak
I wonder whats up with that. According to the Army recruiter I spoke to, our soldiers get fed like this in the Army all the time.. ;-)

Thank you, ru4liberty!
We have tried to 'impress (God's commandments) on our children, talking about them when we sat at home, walking along the road, lying down, and getting up.' The Lord has blessed us beyond all measure with all four of our children.

Thank you...Yes, Eric is Outstanding as his Mom and her account of his graduation from U.S. Army Basic Training. I felt like I was there and, as a Mom, could feel their (the Moms there) anticipation and excitement at seeing their boys again....and wondering if they had changed......

According to the Army recruiter I spoke to, our soldiers get fed like this in the Army all the time.. ;-) Yeah, right!! :o)
Actually, Eric said the food was good........he's not very picky........but that he never had time to eat, with the DI's standing around screaming at them to finish!
One of the things he said he enjoyed most, was having time to eat slowly, and talk during a meal. (And he said he really missed my cookies!)
Since he ate a zillion crab legs at Red Lobster, it took a long time to finish!
