President Bush met with Saudi Arabian Ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan at the Bush Ranch in Crawford, Texas today to discuss the Mideast, including Iraq. Bin Sultan still asserted the official Saudi opposition to any action against Iraq. Bush also pushed the Ambassador to do more for children- American citizens- who are being held in Saudi Arabia because their father's are living there. Bush specifically raised the case of Amjad Radwam, a 19-year-old U.S. citizen who was not allowed to leave Saudi Arabia with her mother, Monica Stowers, in 1985. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: (from yesterday) America in the year 2002 must ask careful questions, not merely about our past, but also about our future. The elected leaders of this country have a responsibility to consider all of the available options. And we are doing so. What we must not do in the face of a mortal threat is give in to wishful thinking or willful blindness. We will not simply look away, hope for the best, and leave the matter for some future administration to resolve. As President Bush has said, time is not on our side. Deliverable weapons of mass destruction in the hands of a terror network, or a murderous dictator, or the two working together, constitutes as grave a threat as can be imagined. The risks of inaction are far greater than the risk of action. ~ Vice President Dick Cheney

PING!
I chose that quote from Dick Cheney because I think it directly implicates the previous administration's willful disregard for the safety of Americans. Cheney's entire speech is brilliant.

BTW, this is the only picture from today. So... admiralsn had a great idea to share your favorite anti-democrat joke with the rest of us! I'm sure there are a ton of them! Oh, and if you want to scatter a few good photos into the mix, please do so!

Even one picture is like an oasis to those of us wandering in the desert with no pictures at all for days.
I am so glad that the President is getting to spend some time on his beloved ranch ..... away from the putrid swamps of DC ...... but, oh! I do miss having my Daily Dose!
Thanks for this, RWP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love our President Bush!
So very proud of him.
To: rintense
Rintense, what are you doing with all your new found free time while the President hides from cameras in Crawford?
Can you believe Prince Bandar is sitting on the arm of Laura's lovely new chair and possibly straining its construction?

Evening rintense, How are you? I don't have a joke about Democrats but I want to share something that was in my MS hometown newspaper. It was a cartoon showing 2 people coming out of a courthouse. The lawyer was saying to his black companion: "Why are you so upset. We were awarded a million dollars in reparations". The black man said, "I know but it was in Confederate money". I thought it was kind of funny!!!! How appropriate!!

I'm out watching Hannity & Colmes next to our jacuzzi. We put the tv outside on the bar part of the gazebo and watch it outside. I'm having a Padron and a glass of red wine. All is well with the world. God Bless W!!!!
