Prayers for my Dad

My father was just diagnosed with colon cancer and I would like to ask for prayers for his surgery this Friday (8/30/02) and for his recovery from this terrible disease. He is a gentleman, a Christian and a family man who taught me most of the important things I rely on to this day. I can only hope be a good of a man and father as he has been. Thank you all.

Heavenly Father, there is nothing too difficult for You. I humbly ask that You heal this beloved father of every illness and disease. Touch him, Almighty God, and purge all cancer from him. Enlighten and embolden his surgeons and physicians that they will give him the very best care and treatments. Send Your Holy Spirit to both Bob and his son, Russ. Fill them with the glory and certainty of Your presence...for much illness can be cured through the comfort Your Spirit brings. Provide for every other need in this family, Dearest Lord. In Jesus' name I ask these things, that Bob and his son will have many more years together before either is called home. Amen!

Colon cancer is curable if caught soon enough. In fact I am going in to get a check up on this next month. I call it the butt cam. I suggest anyone over 50 get the exam done every 3 yrs. or as recommended by your doctor.
