RFK on FX (campaign finance?)
Cable TV Channel FX

Last night I watched RFK on the cable channel FX (to be repeated many times) and could not help but think that the reason this TV movie was produced and broadcast was because some "Kennedy" (probably RFK's daughter in Maryland) is running for political office.
The obvious message of the movie was that the Kennedys were/are the saviours of all depressed peoples including muslims and that they are/were against war.
Actually, the movie was offensive to me for its disinformation and spirituality (not religious), my age is 64 and I remember the events.
Campaign Finance came to mind as I later thought about why and how this movie was produced and aired. It seems to me the only way around CF is to be super rich and connected, like the Kennedy's. This is a chilling thought ...rto

The Kennedys and their money, their lust, their frauds, their phony Catholicism, their see-no-evil mafia wives--the most destructive family in the history of the U.S., including every actual Mafia family. At least the Gambinos never seized the power of the government, or promoted the idea that killing 44 million people is consistent with Catholicism.

RFK and JFK were close personal friends with another Irish Catholic politician of the time, Joe McCarthy. RFK got his start as an investigative aide for McCarthy, but this fact is not much publicized. At heart, the Kennedys were not and are not "liberal", but they certainly knew how to use the rhetoric, and still do. And yes, the frequent re-running of this miniseries on the Kennedys is an unattributed campaign advertisement for RFK's daughter, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, in her run for Maryland governorship.

Gues who Kathleen Kennedy (now Tosnsend's) godfather was
Joseph McCArthy.

"broadcast was because some "Kennedy" (probably RFK's daughter in Maryland) is running for political office."
Ya gotta wonder. It seems like for the past two weeks every other ad on the DC radio stations have been for this movie.
We'll find out if they run it again the 1st week in November.

All summer long the ads have been appearing on Baltimore TV and radio stations every half hour. Free political contributions? I think so!!!
KKTs first 'official' campaign ad looked like it was made by the same producer

Did the movie mention that when RFK appointed all Dems. to the court the ABA protested? Some of his appointees were not only
not qualified, but the ABA of the day was shocked that AG Kennedy would upset the delicate balance of the judicial system...our courts were ~ evenly divided between Dem. and Rep.
My how times change. Speaking of CFR...the NY Times owes the Rep. Party a few years worth of free publicity...not to mention ABC, CNN, CBS, West Wing, PBS, WP, La Times...

What else do the Democrats have? They have to rely on the past of the Kennedys 'cause they can't stand alone!

Hollywood has made many movies that glorify Democratic politicians like FDR and the Kennedys. When will Hollywood give Ronald Reagan similar treatment. I won't be holding my breath.
