The Invasion of Los Angeles
U.S. Census Bureau ^ | 08/24/02 | FreedomFriend

Posted on 08/24/2002 2:37:20 AM PDT by FreedomFriend

Given that the illegal invasion in California and much of the country has come from our neighbor to the south, and being the Mexicans are considered "Hispanic", I think that it is only fair to show general graphic displays of the invasion.

For the following pictures, you will need to know what each color represents. Thus,, here is the key.

1990
Beige 0.0%-16.6% Hispanic
Yellow 16.7%-33.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow- 33.4%-53.0% Hispanic
Olive Green- 53.3%-75.2% Hispanic
Forest Green- 75.5%-100.0% Hispanic

2000
Beige 0.0%-18.5% Hispanic
Yellow 18.6%-36.2% Hispanic
Green-Yellow 36.3%-55.6% Hispanic
Olive Green 55.7%-76.4% Hispanic
Forest Green 76.4%-98.4% Hispanic

Check out the size and scope of the invasion as it has manifested itself over the years in the LA area, and compare each LA area from 1990 to 2000.

LA Central 1990

LA Central 2000

LA East 1990

LA East 2000

LA Southeast 1990

LA Southeast 2000

LA North 1990

LA North 2000

LA West/Far West 1990

LA West/Far West 2000

Given that the numbers are slightly differentiating, the contrast between 1990 and 2000 is somewhat weakened. However, despite the number variation, the contrasts can clearly be seen.

Are you going to call for the administration moderator anytime anyone has a different opinion from you.

You forgot the question mark.

My question to you is "Are you going to make hysterical accusations against everyone in the whole world every time they have a different opinion from you?"

I never call the moderator on anyone. I just insult them as subtly as possible, YOU MORON.

Thanks for the helpful web addresses, and I admit I'm no expert on the nuances of bureaucratic CYA tendencies ... but I'm pretty sure that if there WERE 13 million undetected, anonymous and unlocatable foreign nationals who somehow slipped through the INS' vice like hold over all activity along our borders, they might not announce it on their web site.

But thanks for the helpful hints, it is my obligation to prove your number to be a wholly frudlent and unsupportable crock of crap.

You are correct in general terms, but, in the case of the poster to whom I responded, please note that she specifically indicated her ancestors fought in the Revolution.

Turkey is not really part of Europe, anyway. I agree with your point though, and wouldn't want Albanians immigrating here either.

For those who think this is all about race, they should keep in mind that Albanians are white. I'd want them here too if it was about race, yet I think they're doing just fine right where they are.

But Spanish ARE white. So, yes, whites did indeed come up with all of that.

there are between 18,000 and 48,000 undocumented Hispanic workers

I'm not going to argue about the urgent need for action .. but I do note that the "margin of error" in complex accounting models is a bit more relaxed in government circles than in the business world.

"OK, good work team, we are reasonably certain as we can be in a total vacuum that this number of unknown, unlocated and unverifiable individuals who might be here illegally is probably not less than 17,000, and thank God there's a good chance that the number is probably not more than 49,000 or so give or take a reasonable error. Mission accomplished! Who's up for some divresity sexual orientation training and gender sensitivity role-reversal performance art?."

I have some major qualms about the methodology used in this model. Let's start with 5 million!

It's ironic, this method of creatively divining number counts in hazy and dynamic environments is called "accounting and securites fraud" in the corporate world, and is heralded as an estimate with a "prudent and responsible buffer for error" in the civil servant racket.

But you get conflicting interpretations from various sources and I'm just confused and disinterested at this point.

Please be advised that the remark was not meant for you. I was trying to get witnesses to see the bait tactics.

BTW, do you know, that that movie is actually a LIBERAL screed, as much of Capra's films were ?

Which of his films do you call liberal?

The most popular ones were family-friendly fare which focused on the triumph of the best of human nature over adversity.

In your trailer park, do you watch "It's A Wonderful Life" at Christmastime, scoof "Dratted populist director!", take another draught from your ever-present flask of whiskey, check the clock to see how long before the rest of your clan makes their daily appearance on "Jerry Springer", kick your of-dubious-parentage dog, look out your cracked-pane window to see if the police have caught up with you from the last time you "borrowed" something from the local hard-liquor store, belch, wipe your mouth on your shirt sleeve, and then return to critiquing great films which you don't and could never truly understand?

Granted. Just this week I posted a thread where I said...

One of the more contentious species of threads encountered on Free Republic are those dealing with the subject of America's immigration policy, particularly with regard to the Illegal Aliens currently in our country. According a range of reasonable sources, the estimates of their numbers here currently here range from six to thirteen million. Whatever the actual count, there are quite a few people now in violation of American immigration law.
LINK

But for you to question methodology now ignores the links I provided at #678 that, if anything, the government methodology is underreporting the numbers of Illegals.

Arne, you'd implied that the numbers on Illegals were exaggerated, and challenged other posters to back them up. I did so.

If you want to dispute my numbers from multiple sources, the burden is now on you to provide something a little more substantial than a self-penned spoof and an Onion link.

After all of this, claiming that you're confused and disinterested really only begs the question. You posted to this thread precisely because you're interested.

I've always found that to be a singulary persuasive rhetorical fluorish, but I'm easy to please.

I like Mexicans. My cousin married a nice girl from Monterrey and they now live in Los Angeles together. Break out the olive green crayon!

Honestly, you xenophobes are just too much for me.

Because they don't want to be hassled. If somebody was shaking you down everyday, eventually you'd learn to run to just to avoid a hassle. The INS is ridiculous, but I'm sure my reasons for thinking so are far different than yours.

My whole problem with these posts (guess *I'm* the one with the problem?) are the FReepers on here who lump all Hispanics in with illegals. I was born here, my dad (non-Hispanic) was born here. My mother (Hispanic) came here LEGALLY and my brother (doesn't even "look Hispanic") wasn't born here, but is an AMERICAN citizen. I'm not a DU-type. I have only been there once and I got a real laugh out of it. I admit I have never heard of the "gang of four", so I did look it up, but ... racist? :: rolling eyes one more time :: ... on that note, I'm going back to minding my own business on my "regular threads." Have a nice day : )

I think you need your head examined. I assume by posting this to me you are accusing me of calling the moderator. Well, you'd be wrong.
Not that it matters but you should starp on a pair and apologise to everybody you falsely accused.

He didn't accuse anybody accept CJ. He pinged you because you are on his ping list. He pinged me too. Sheesh!

Once again, He didn't make an accusation against anyone accept CJ, and he is correct about that. He only pinged you because you are most likely on his ping list.

And this is why any efforts to stop, or slow, illegal immigration are, I fear, doomed to failure. Such discussions must invariably lead to the forbidden issue of race. No politician dares touch the issue. Nor does any public entity such as a corporation.

And individuals, I regret to say, broach the subject at some peril to their reputations and social standing. Which is why I am very cautious what I say in such matters...

Regards, N.

That's just it. Only the race baiters/Gang Of Four that comes to these threads bring up the race issue. Not one of us(anti-immigrationists) brought it up UNTIL the GOF brought it up. They seem like they'd feel better with their brethren at DUh.
