Yeah. And the 'Craqis sure made good use of advance warnings they had gotten for weeks, at 12:01 am, local time on January 16, 1991...

immenent, immanent -- Is there a dearth of dictionaries?
imminent: ready to take place
Ther are a lot of p**s-poor spellers on FR. Mangling the English language impedes clarity and understanding.

only major thing I caught is he is stating how he is "exactly in line" with the way President Bush is thinking...no mention of whether he is leaking information (The talk guy up here really going soft on him)... Very short interview, probably not even worth me typing it. :^(
Sorry for the lame report.
To: aristeides
I think either Israel or U.S. took out Nidal. Whenever Iraq says something took place a certain way, then the opposite is true. In other words, Iraqi govt agents didn't kill him and it wasn't suicide. Also, President Bush did specifically mention 4 bullets when making his comments, although he did also say "if he's dead". Iraq examples of contradictions are civilians means military, baby milk factory means weapons factory, and we will destroy the Americans really means our goose is cooked.

yes we are, no we aren't. yes we are, no we aren't. yes we are, no we aren't.
The tactic is probably designed to make Saddam a little dizzy.

This "leak" is definitely unethical, and, very possibly, illegal.Who's to say it is a leak? It could very well be an intentional response to quell the anti-war statements that have been reported recently.

InHofe won't know any more than the rest of us about an attack until a few hours before GW comes on TV to tell us about it, which will be a few hours after the steel starts falling.
This is the way it works. Plans will have been made. They are constantly being updated and massaged. At some point a go date and hour will be decided. The rubberband will start to wind up so as to be snapped at the go hour. Any time up to that the operation can be halted, and in fact wont proceed unless the final approval is given. Given approval, the operation begins a short phase where it will proceed unless a late decision is made to halt it. This phase usually lasts from time of first launch of combat aircraft to first bombs away ( a few hours ). Lacking a last minute change of mind, the war will begin.

Don't believe it. Bush has made it clear he will consult congress and probably seek a resolution to attack. I agree with you. Inhofe has been a solid conservative and very reliable. This salvo is to keep Saddam on the defensive. I do believe all this talk of attacking Iraq is simply done to keep oil prices down before the November elections. After November, anything can happen. Nevertheless, when it comes to attacking Iraq, time is on Bush's side.

This war talk might be an attempt to encourage the natives (military) to just shoot Saddam and save themselves a lot of trouble with us.

I say 9-11-02
First Bob Barr moves to John Linder's district, now Senator Inhofe has moved to Vermont.

immenent, immanent -- Is there a dearth of dictionaries?
Now that you mention it, I'm not sure that "piss-poor" is supposed to be hyphenated.

Can we announce it in any more media outlets?
Have we filed an evironmental impact report with the Iraqi government?
And we have them sent official notification of intent to attack and invade?
Can our elected representatives be any more ignorant?

How did he know Abu Nidel had been shot 4 times??? He didn't say 3....or...5...he stated quite clearly 4 times...makes you go......hmmmmmmmm! Hey that is a good catch! Which thread was that?
To: Militiaman7
"Senator InHofe (R-OK) should be jailed. Talk about aiding the enemy."
Wrong conclusion. These things are planned. When a US Senator of your own party makes a statement like this it is not by accident.

Saddam is panicked.....the tipoff is his announcing the death of one of the worlds most hated terrorists. If his security forces had taken out Nidal he would have covered it up.
Someone else sent Nidal for a dirt nap.......and Saddam didn't know if that party filmed it....for future use.
