A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 8/19/02
all the crazy freepers!

Posted on 08/19/2002 6:41:54 PM PDT by rintense

President Bush continued his working vacation today in Crawford, TX where he continued doing what he enjoys most- working outside. Bush will be hosting a 'military transformation' meeting on Wednesday, which will be attended by Vice President Dick Cheney, Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard Myers and White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card. Condi Rice is also expected to attend. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thanks for the very appropriate Psalm tonight, FWI.

I agree that the Horowitz essay is great, especially considering that he was once a rabid liberal.

Sorry you had such a hard day and then ants!!!!

I have fought ants this summer too! Do you have either ant terro or Ant traps? And if not, a good alternative is a lemony liquid dish detergent. I found out that if I douse them or make a trail lf dish detergent around them - encircle them or cut off their route with it - they won't go very far because they HATE it! Unless these are the huge ants. If so - uh - ant traps or sprays are best.

That has to be the funniest pic I've seen of Dubya. Not to mention the fact that when I posted that pic, I mistakenly called the dose 'A day in the life of President Clinton'. HAHAHHAHAHA!

Texagirl - welcome! Glad to see another Texan here!!! (not moi - others! We need you! Glad to "see" you!

Mo1 - very nice even though small jeans pictures.....LOL...very nicely done.

Rintense - LOL - picture of Clinton - PUHLEAZE do not use that name in the same breath with W - even by accident!!LOL but it would be appropriate for X42, that's for sure.

The Dose is always a breath of fresh air - for many reasons. A chance to laugh is one. A chance to say, "Hello" to others who admire our President is another. And for the Psalm which maybe brings some sense of calm to what is more and more a crazy world.

I just found out something that I HAVE to post, so just in CASE someone higher up is reading our posts, maybe some good will come of their being made aware.

After Mueller (sp?) took over the FBI, he came to San Diego to "check out" how things were done in these offices. A friend of mine told me that computers were put in place when Mr. Mueller came to visit, and removed directly thereafter. The person who was jazzed about FINALLY getting the technology that should be there, and was promised for so long, was told that there "must have been a mistake - and these computers, etc. were delivered to the wrong room," and that's why they were taken away the next day.

This information concerned me greatly, and I know that there is a strong possibility the "Dose" is read by those that matter. I just wanted to suggest that Mr. Mueller have "surprise" inspections of what is happening -- be a tad bit more of a "Secret Agent" himself, when checking on his people in the field, as there are some strange things going on in his organization--to give the appearance that they are doing what they are supposed to, and then it's back to the old ways.

I feel as though he cares, and would want to know this.

Thanks for the link to the Horowitz article!

"One participant wore an orange 'W in 2004' cap, which was all that needed to be said."

From the 'ACR unimportant trivia archives': Orange "W" caps, from the 2000 campaign, were collectibles, as usually they were only worn by the advance team.
