[history]
We're pleased, we guess, that the New York Times thought our article on Iraq by Brent Scowcroft last Thursday was important enough to lead its front page two days in a row. We'd be more pleased, though, if instead of trumpeting our story to advance a tendentious theme, the Times kept its opinions on its editorial page.

I disagree with this sentence:
Its current stance shows how little faith an increasingly elitist left now has in promoting democracy and U.S. principles. It is not a matter of little faith in the agenda of promoting democracy, it is a matter of a different agenda altogether. The is, well, the left, not in favor of US principles, let alone promoting them overseas.

Thanks for the ping. Only the NY Times would have a problem with the President listening to a wide range of opinion as he makes his decision. I see it as a good thing. It wouldn't matter whether W made his decision in a vacuum or consulted with thousands, the NY Times would express their irrelevant dissatisfaction.

LOL! My son is graduating from Basic Training at Ft. Knox. He's 18, and in the Army Reserves, heading for AIT at Ft. Lee, VA on Friday.
We haven't seen him since the 10th of June.

Great article! It seems the Wall Street Journal is getting sick and tired of the New York Slimes.

I wonder when the NY Times's readers will realize they're being fed a pack of lies.

The NY Times forgets there are a lot of people in flyover country who don't hang on their every word.
