Dear Freepers:
I just returned from the First Annual Free Republic Network Convention in Las Vegas.
The Free Republic Network Cruise last October was the most fun I've ever had in my whole life. The Free Republic Network Conference I just attended was the most informative and inspiring two days I've ever had in my whole life.
The Free Republic Network is stretching its muscle, not by talk, but by action. The Free Republic forum is liberty's college. The Free Republic Network is liberty's workplace.
If you attended, please use this thread to post your observations, comments and highlights of the conference. I will give mine below. But before I do, I'd like to take this time to thank Bob Johnson and the FRN board for putting on this conference. It's hard for me to find the words to adequately describe how great this experience was--and how much I learned.

I know what was in ONE of the freepmails circulating because it was posted on an AF site, AFWAA to be exact. (Al-Qaeda ring any bells?)
I suspect that is what the reference to freepmail is about.
The fact is the Network isn't going anywhere. We have treated the DC chapter with respect on this forum. In turn, your members have come on to this thread and hurled mud.
To be honest, no one has the time to target anyone, askel. You make yourself a target everytime you post. Same goes for everyone who participates on this board and makes claims subject to examination.
Jim has requested that this "issue" not be played out on his forum. As a courtesy to his wishes, please stop with the nasty swipes.

I don't claim to know what's in your freepmail.
I'm referring to the whispering campaign against the Network by various members of the DC chapter that has been reported to us by a number of people.
If you're serious about burying the hatchet that would be a good thing to stop, as would the relentless efforts to trash this thread.

I went to the STE as well (at the Hilton), and got the picture of me sitting in the NG Captain's Chair (actually sprawled therein, wearing my shades). I had my pic took as well, but didnt go through it to have my photo printed up. They were charging 20 dollars, and I thought, why pay them for something I've been doing to myself and my fellow freepers for free?
