Dear Freepers:
I just returned from the First Annual Free Republic Network Convention in Las Vegas.
The Free Republic Network Cruise last October was the most fun I've ever had in my whole life. The Free Republic Network Conference I just attended was the most informative and inspiring two days I've ever had in my whole life.
The Free Republic Network is stretching its muscle, not by talk, but by action. The Free Republic forum is liberty's college. The Free Republic Network is liberty's workplace.
If you attended, please use this thread to post your observations, comments and highlights of the conference. I will give mine below. But before I do, I'd like to take this time to thank Bob Johnson and the FRN board for putting on this conference. It's hard for me to find the words to adequately describe how great this experience was--and how much I learned.
By that time, my carry on bags were full of souvenirs (Reno had better souvenirs). I'm surprised the Federal Screeners were able to get either my carry on or my purse closed. I've been patted down, wanded and all that dalereed went through. But it's nice that the NV airport has one of those big luggage scanners for checked luggage. That gave me a feeling of security. Pulling me twice didn't make me particular safe. I already knew I was a good guy.
By the way, I started a Pirate Chapter and later tomorrow, there will be my modest collection of pictures there. They are a little grainy but you might enjoy the Pirate chapter. It's on my profile page or you can search for Friva New Pirate Chapter.
If I ping you tomorrow, it will be "ahoy" = ping.
We're not through having fun at Buccaneer Bay yet, even though nobody is still physically there - as far as I know. LOL
It seems long ago and far away...
