What do the folks on DU want to do with Johnny Jihad, put him up in a luxury hotel? Yep. After they give the hero a parade and shower him with love and adulation. Some little shit named Matcom and I had it out. Actually I was calm and analytic, and he was a raving lunatic (still is).

No, they aren't stupid as such -- no sense asking african tribal leaders for money -- they either don't have any, or won't give any out. In this sense, they are following the classic 'deep pockets' strategem. Well, they're not ever going to get a dime out of me and if they think so they're dumb as a bag of hammers.

"Would a one-time reparations payment settle this once and for all?" Are you kidding? For this bunch it never ends.

Are you kidding? I don't think this will "end" unless blacks get to play the role of Mugabe and his thugs in this country. I'm convinced that at least for the more radical blacks, nothing less than a reversed slavery will be tolerated in thier movement and sadly they have the pass that white bigots had years ago. Dangerous thing.

This rally is probably gonna be responsible for more racism than Birth of a Nation and forced busing combined.

Excuse the silly question, please. This line is so good I would like to borrow it. Did you compose it today, or is it a line that has been around, and I just haven't come across it before? I can't say with 100% certainty that I am the first to have said it, but I did compose it on the fly. ;)

I watched about 15 minutes of this rally on C-SPAN. After listening to 2 speakers I formed the following impressions:
1. This was not a pro-America rally.
2. None of the speakers nor the people assembled at the rally looked old enough to have been slaves in America.
3. While watching this rally, I felt a very strong urge to shout to the TV: IF YOU DON'T LIKE AMERICA --- LEAVE. IF YOU WANT TO STAY IN AMERICA --GET A JOB AND BE A PRODUCTIVE CITIZEN!"

Its hilarious to go to DU and watch the conflict between black liberals and liberals who actually have a hint of common sense.

The trash we saw on the mall today --- was not just the litter on the ground. There was trash everywhere... Demonstrations such as this demeans hallowed ground...they should be held at the D.C. Dump. One of the things that made me think, "I really shouldn't be in DC" was one Sunday morning, after Earth Day, going for a walk in DC and walking towards the Washington Monument. And then just over a rise, I came to a field. The day before Earth Day the field had been clean, pristine. Then it was covered in trash, waste, soda cans and bottles, candy wrappers and most ironically of all, environmental literature.
I wish I had taken a snapshot of it - it showed what a fraud these leftists are. They proclaim they want to clean the environment, even when they aren't able to clean up after themselves.

Not really. In this case its simply an expression of their hatred of America and giving the finger to Da Man and The System. They're perfectly consistent when they want to be and in this case, their message was all too clear.

You don't need to explain to me, how the low life bastards of the world live...
I graduated from Anacostia High School in S.E. Washington, DC - in the late 50s.
It used to be a fairly nice mixed race neighborhood. In the 80s, I was told the area around that school was a very dangerous slum......
I have visited Washington a number of times, over the past 40 years - and can't believe that we have allowed our Nation's Capital to become a running sore.
One of the best thing I did for my children, was taking them out of the area - and moving far away.....
But, we're running out of room to run and hide from all the different brands of assholes in the world.. Sooner or later, we will have to take a stand and say we will move no farther ----- we will give no more.
Between the radical leftists, Greens, Communists, Marxists, Socialists, feminazies, environuts, perverts, and the damned greedy, thieving traitorous congresscritters -- it will certainly be a target rich environment!

Sigh: why can't the liberal media report that there were lots of nice black families at the Air and Space Museum today? Some times I think *that* would be news to them -- black middle class families educating their kids well.
You are right to point this out. It is an encouraging trend that I noticed on my last trip to the Air and Space Museum, too. Of course the media will not pick up on this trend, it does not fit their 'world view.' The almost total lack of black families, in a majority black city, visiting a free and exciting museum, was never newsworthy either.
The US has a large middle class population of non-white families, but they do not make noise, they just try to live the best lives they can. All we ever hear about are the crackheads, dopedealers, and racebaiters.
A few stats on the true measure of the black milddle class would go a long way to help our country not be so tense and angry on race issues. What news service actually wants to help America be stronger?

Straight on, Kevin. Like a beam of light piercing the darkness to show the path.

I saw that several entertainers were involved in the proceedings. Somehow, I think that the Godfather of Soul doesn't see this as an empowering event.
People still hold up "Say It Loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud" by James Brown, but less often heard today is "I Don't Want Nobody To Give Me Nothing (Open Up The Door, I'll Get It Myself)".
When I saw James Brown this year, he was still singing new songs about staying in school and getting off drugs.
A look at this playlist/webcast will reveal a lot of James Brown PSAs and message songs.

Unfortunately, I could not be at my computer and watch the pathetic rally in D.C. at the same time. From the onstart to the very end, I sat in astonishment and embarrasment. Most of the people that spoke, performed or what ever they did, I had never heard of. If anyone had ever considered giving reparations that was a sure rally to nip it in the bud.
I mean the New Black Panthers, Louis Farrakhan, which most Blacks have nothing to do with.
It appeared to me that this was more of a rally trying to promote Islam. Sister Viola, who was one of the coordinators of the rally, should go back and take Coordination 101. And from what I saw her and Sis Bev will have to have a make up session after Sis Viola embarrased Sis Bev on national TV.
And can someone please tell me who the hell is Prince Israel and where did he come from? Is he from Israel or is he American?
And that last supposed member of the female race, the one with all the MFs and SOBs, what was Sister Viola thinking when she added that to the guest list. I am embarrased for my people. But then, they are not my people, they belong somewhere, I don't know where, but somewhere. It's too scary. I was so sorry that I was not able to follow the thread that I knew would be here and watch C-Span at the same time, because I too was laughing my a$$ off while at the same time very humiliated.

Tex,
It was and is all about the bling! bling!. We know in here for the most part the black race is not as ignorant as this picnic of rejects.
To: Interious
Actually, I've changed my mind about this--I'm now for reparations. Maybe it will finally shut these people up That's like giving a drunkard the bottle of beer he's asking for, hoping that'll make him stop drinking!
... Or like signing a Kyoto-like treaty to shut up the environmentalists. Or strinking a "land for peace" deal with the Arabs. Or handing over a portion of N.Y.C. to al-Qaeda, in the hope that it will make them leave us alone!
To: TexKat
Hey, I was there, Tex, and it wasn't quite that bad. Though some of it--the overt anti-Semitism of some of the people there, for instance--was quite bad enough. I met some sensible, sane people. But when that guy with the face paint came up to a woman standing next to me, it nearly scared me to death. What was he thinking? Hmmm...never mind.
