President Bush headed to South Dakota today to promote his economic and homeland security packages. In a speech in front of Mount Rushmore, South Dakota, Bush called for congress to act quickly on the proposed cabinet-level position of homeland defense. The President also stated that the current homeland package proposed from the Senate strips him of authority to exempt agencies from collective bargaining requirements if national security demands it. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

WOW, what a first picture! That just took my breath away. I totally agree. That one and a couple of the others--looks like the first George W. is looking directly at our current George W.---like watching over him. It gave me chills.

You forgot Georgeous :o)
The best one of all! You're really on the ball, ohioWfan! I must say, your taste in presidents and names is quite exquisite.
Now, on a related train of thought, if "Bushtastic" were in the dictionary, what would be a good definition?

"Bush's face would be appropriate alongside the others, doncha think?"

>>>They didn't show Daschle at all, but you could picture him squirming during the entire speech.>>>
Daschele doesn't have the decency to squirm.

How wonderful of you to take the time to let us know about your folks' experience! Thank you so much!
Bumping so that everyone goes back and reads your reply #96! Thanks again!

WONDERFUL Second-hand reporting!!!!!
And I LOVE the crowds apparent disinterest in Daschle and Johnson.......and the fact that they had no seats! You KNOW that couldn't have been an accident. Not when these events are planned to the 'nth' degree!

Do you think stilts would do it. I thought he would need a really high ladder to be that tall.

It's surprising to me that with the President's good manners he didn't mention him by name. He did mention him by innuendo several times when he raked Congress over the coals. He mentioned him. Thanked Daschle and Johnson for coming--right at the very beginning.

"rushing to a mic, to start his trashing of GW"
That's all the dems do - they are so desperate to get their faces on the TV, they have banned together in NY to hold "their own" memorial on 9/10. They plan to read the Gettysberg address. I am stunned.
Leave it to the liberals to politicize; do they have any genuine character - at all.

Oh WOWEE! These pics are just fantastic tonight!
Need I say we all agree our President belongs at Mt. Rushmore? :)
Thanks Rintense, this is one of the best threads in the history of the dose!

Doin' great, MJY! Eric called tonight! He's
finished with Basic Training!! He just got back from his FTX and now they're just cleaning, and cleaning, and getting ready for graduation, and cleaning! LOL!
He said he's gained 10 pounds, and finished his PT evaluations with a 292 out of 300 (that's with a pulled hamstring!), and was 3rd in his platoon! He really enjoyed the night infiltration course with things blowing up all around him and bullets whizzing overhead! But he's really glad to be done.......he said they were allowed to have pop with supper tonight, but he had milk instead! :o)
Tomorrow we head to Minnesota to take #1 Son back to college, get back on Sunday, and head for Kentucky for graduation on Tuesday, coming back on Thursday!
Needless to say, I won't be around much, but I'm sure the Dose will survive without me!

>>>The President isn't afraid of a fight, and Daschle has met his match.>>>
Actually he has met his better.

Daschle isn't the one in the match - it's Hillary who is telling Daschle what to do. She hates Bush but she has to appear nice so she can run for President. But ... behind the scenes she is giving Daschle instructions from McAwful. Daschle is just a weiner - trying to act like a big time Senator. His days are numbered!!

I have to read the dose quickly every night these days....so don't post too much. Your post is very insightful....and I'll add....the more people invest, the more they understand economics and the free market/capitalistic system and THE MORE they can't STAND the Democrats/socialists ideas (MY theory) and the more they'll understand why they MUST vote REPUBLICAN/Conservative!
Thanks Rintense....night all....leaving to go camping at 6:am....

Did that little jerk actually call Bush a dictator? Oh, that makes ladyinred not want to be a lady! The way that lunatic is ruling the Senate (without a mandate) and he has the freeping nerve to say that?!!!!!
