Ah, but I am one of the people she skewers -- maybe one of the "pathetic little parakeet males" who are always liberals. (For some reason, Coulter has a need to question the manliness of liberals; against all evidence, she even refers to Bill Clinton as "IMPOTUS.") And yet, some of what she writes about me is true. I have not always been wise (pp. 16, 60-61,128,149,185) and at times I have strayed from liberal orthodoxy (pp. apparently edited from the manuscript). And here we have the crux of Little Dick's complaint: Ann dissed him!
FYI, Dick, you have RARELY been "wise."
To: Pokey78
A liberal like Richard Cohen can write an entire column about Ann's best-selling book without saying a single word to refute it. Which only proves what she's written all along: as far as liberals are concerned there's no debate in this country. And Cohen like the rest of them is an empty suit.

He's just jealous cause he works for a paper people refuse to use to wrap fish in or even use to scoop poop when they walk their dogs.
Of course his books are usually sold in the toilet paper section of the supermarket in rolls and he can't stand the fact that someone else is making money and has a real job.

May I say something about Ann Coulter? She is a half-wit, a termagant, a dimwit, a blowhard, a worthless silicone nothing, physically ugly and could be likened to Eva Braun, who was Hitler's mistress. As it happens, these are all descriptions or characterizations Coulter uses for others in her book, "Slander." It ought to be called "Mirror." He just proved every point she made in her wonderful book.
Awwwww, idda wanna foo foo Richard?
Regards, Ivan

Ann's book gets mentioned in the Washpost.
More sales, smoking cash registers...Thank you Mr. Cohen!
Cohen must not like non-fiction books well-documented with footnotes, prefers em based on "feelings, nothing more than feelings."

(Why doesn't Cohen, a Washington Post insider, know the meaning of IMPOTUS? Is he that uninformed????)
To: Pokey78
Ah yes.........the typical liberal comeback!
Demonize those who would tell the truth about them!
To: Pokey78
May I say something about Ann Coulter? No, you may not. You're not fit company for humans.
To: Pokey78
Thanks Pokey, for the ping. I should probably read the posts first before I start my own personal Richard Cohen rant, but . . .
May I say something about Ann Coulter? She is a half-wit, a termagant, a dimwit, a blowhard, a worthless silicone nothing, physically ugly and could be likened to Eva Braun, who was Hitler's mistress.
I understand your current twelve step program takes up much of your free time, but do at least try to come up with your own invective. "Silicone nothing"? Hardly. Perhaps this was a Freudian slip while you pondered your penile implant . . .
If, as Coulter says, liberals control the media and much of the animal and plant kingdoms, then how is it that the president du jour and others of recent times -- Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush the Elder -- happen to be conservatives? I must be missing something here.
Yes, my self-important little media shill, you are missing something. Liberal control of the media does not automatically mean Liberal control of the voters, no matter how much you wish it so.
For some reason, the intolerant National Review fired her.
Again sir, allow us to pretend you absorbed the book. The National Review dropped her syndicated column. This is still America; they are allowed to do so, much the same way I'm allowed to "fire" everyone in the Washington Post through my subscription cancellation. I would assume this qualifies me as intolerant from the Washington Post point of view . . .
Being conservative is like being criminally insane: You can't be held accountable.
Calm down, Mr. Cohen. I understand it must be quite a shock to personally suddenly realize the implications of the bestseller status of the book "Slander"; that the general public does not hold the same Liberal mindset you do. It's OK; the general public had felt this way for quite some time. Conservatives aren't suddenly going to capture and torture you because of your epiphany.
I mean, almost everything Coulter says about her ideological enemies could be said about her.
Everything Ann Coulter says about her ideological enemies HAS been said about her, by her ideological enemies, many times over, for many many years. The Richard Cohens of the world don't stop at Ms. Coulter; they include everyone who does not agree with the Liberal mindset. Why do you think she wrote the book?
See, Ann, liberals can be compassionate.
Yes, and this column is a fine example of that Liberal compassion.
To: Pokey78
Richard Cohen at least read past the first page of the book, but obviously failed to comprehend it.
To: Pokey78
What's going on here? We're over a hundred posts into a Colter thread and there's more photographs of Santa Claus' bastard son than Ann. What's the story here? BTW, has anyone else noticed that liberal guys are REALLY acting like Ann poured a slurpee in their laps?
Sorry, libs, she's ours.
To: Pokey78
physically uglyI know it's not Free Republically Correct to say so, but his is almost true...
Ann is fairly attractive (No where NEAR as "Hot" as the obviously biased posters on FR state) but her body is disgusting!!!
I LOVE a slim woman but Ann is Olive Oil Like! He thighs are almost literally as thin as her ankles...If that's not Olive Oil, I don't know WHAT is???
But still...She's about my favorite writer. An OUTSTANDING wit and good, basic insight into liberals. I wish she was as good on TV where she seems to stumble a bit too much.
To: Pokey78
What with her book being on the best seller list for some time now and still way up there on the charts, she must be driving the democrats nuts getting the story out to the American Public about what crooks they are and how slanted EVERYTHING they say and do is in the media.
Thank you Ann Coulter......keep on trucking!
To: Pokey78
Even if you could not stand Ms Coulter's ideas and observations how could anyone say "She is a half-wit, a termagant, a dimwit, a blowhard, a worthless silicone nothing, physically ugly..." and expect to be believed about anything else he wrote? I'm not sure about termagant, but she is hardly half or dim-witted. I think blowhard refers to assertive females who differ from the author. Physically ugly? Well, there are at least 32 flavors of ice cream. The svelt blonde is hardly ugly by any of the standards I have.
