President Bush spent the day at Baylor University, attending the Administration's Economic Forum. The forum, attended by many business leaders and educators, was divided into four sections:
1. Small Investor and Retirement Security
2. Corporate Responsibility
3. Healthcare Security
4. Economic Recovery and Job Creation
In addition to the President, Vice President Cheney, Rod Paige, and Tommy Thompson also attended. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Good analysis of McAuliffe. What is it with the Dems and their love affair with sleazy, lowlife pond scum?
To: NordP
Sounds like she was a needed breath of fresh air. What type of business does she own?

Forgot to say how much I enjoyed your captions. Especially the one where our Vice President asks the President for his autograph.

NOT to start a disagreement here with anyone, but IMO, Drudge is copying the behavior of a certain "right-wing/activist/public interest" judicial organization of late.

Okay...let's see how smart we all are...can you answer these ?... Finish each phrase with the Democratic "talking points" for all interviews today... George W. Bush, like his father, is _______ with the common people. The Economic Forum is just a ________. Why weren't any _______ invited to the Economic Forum.
The first answer is Out of touch with the common people (A lie)
#2,I have no idea, but
# 3 No democrats, (another lie)

I agree. I just did a little checking, and the Chinese were protesting religious persecution in China. Not sure why they think Waco, Texas is the best place to further their cause. I doubt the President saw any of this given the size and arrangement of the campus and the streets that were closed. These people didn't get near any of the buildings where the forum was held.

Absolutely, we should all do what we can to get a Republican senate in there! We need a little cushion too, as who knows what Jeffers-clone would jump if the Republicans get the majority.
It is definitely worth praying for and, just think, no more Timmy.

I agree...Drudge started out as a decent alternate news site to get an unfiltered heads up on news that the metworks would ignore...but it seems that in the last several months, drudge has morphed into a tabloid type reporter and is now resorting to sensationalist type headlines based on no0thing stories.
To: McLynnan
Everyone, McLynnan is right. We will
be FReeping the Leftists in Crawford
on the 24th! Mexico's Fox & worldwide
Media coverage of his visit will be
there, so the protestors are busing in
to embarrass the President. They don't
know US, however! If you ever meant to
visit Crawford, try it the 24th. More
info later...

Hehehe. Those photos were so cute- they were begging to be captioned.

I think that the mainstream media has figured out how to use Drudge to their advantage. They know he'll splash any suggestion of scandal or sensation in screaming headlines on his webpage, and in doing so he'll just add to the mania. Why else would sources of major newspapers leak to him unless they wanted to drive up their sales the next day? For example, he plastered story of the Time magazine "expose" on the so-Called "Clinton Plan" before he even read the details! He should've known it was an empty hit-piece, but he's grown lazy. I think the only way to hamper this kind of foolishness is to boycott his sources: Time, New York Times, etc. etc. And if his sight is from now on going to be a clearinghouse for liberal media, GOP scandal-baiting, perhaps we ought to rethink his relevance.
To: justshe
Correct. There is a lesson here. Just because someone says something we agree with or does something we chortle over, does NOT mean that they are going to be good allies. They may be using us.
There are lots of wolves in sheeps clothing in the media, and it would do us all good to be cautious before becoming fans of any media or activist sort.

I can't remember, but man, she started out by saying she was honored to be among the "real people" which got a laugh, too. She said,
"Although I don't look it, I have 4 grandchildren, and I'm a mother of 2. We watched those towers go down, and we had a vested interest in those bldgs," because (something about her business serviced offices in the towers...sheesh I wish I could remember) and that the tax cut really came as a welcomed surprise, that helped so much, because of how well timed it was. She also made some reference to
"We'll get that Ben Lah-den guy!"I would LOVE to get a transcript of her speach. She was SO poised and SO funny, and SO on our side.
curtains...must finish curtains!

I heard Rush say that too! I was so amazed and excited at the prospect! To be rid of the usurper Tommie on a stool as the majority leader is a dream I pray comes true!
To: McLynnan
What is it with the Dems and their love affair with sleazy, lowlife pond scum? I think I read somewhere that sewer gas seeks the lowest point.
