"I'm going with Carrot Top from the 1-800-CALL-ATT crap." We have a Winner folks...
On a related Subject I think there should be a Constitutional Amendment that Carrot Top should neither be allowed to be Cloned or Reproduce in any manner or form...
Further, when he dies his remains should be boiled in acid, buried and the earth should be salted in a 20 foot arc around his grave site!
This madness needs to stop!

Best commercial I've seen in a while is the guy in the Staples, dancing and throwing school supplies in a cart - and two miserable looking kids standing there as he toses in pencils, package after package. Mine start back tomorrow - hahahaahahahha! Ditto...I don't have kids, but that one just cracks me up! "It's a most wonderful time of the year!" Indeed...now the wife and I can go out and enjoy all the state parks and tourist attractions, shop 'til we drop, etc...without any kids running around. LOVE this time of year.

Umm Tom Dasshole, or Dickie Gephardt, I can't decide.
To: CougarGA7
I ditto Billy Mayes of Orange Clean and Ding King fame. He's a real toad.

There are some rip-offs of that commercial, one in particular featuring the kids being trapped in the back of their parents' SUV. They are all very funny though.
To: one_particular_harbour
Another great one along those lines where the kids think they're going to the water park, get in the car, see the school books, start to scream, the power door locks lock, Dad leers from the front seat...
Now that I think about it that's a little creepy when you think about all the child abductions. That might be in poor taste.

Kirstie Alley turns my stomach, she wins.

...or the guy who pitches the CD-ROM's that claim to teach you how to use Windows, and work "just like a VCR." That guy cracks me up. He is hawking something called "The Video Professor" but he only says the words twice in the entire damnned commercial. The rest of the time he says, "would you please try my product"...."millions have used my product"...."my product works just like a VCR."
For Pete's sake! I'm no marketing genius, but it's a good idea to say the actual name of your "product" as much as possible....(and, yes, I know, that me actually knowing the name of the Video Professor defeats my whole argument, but I only remember because I was amazed at how often he said "my product.")

That stupid BK or McDonald's commercial with the hip-hop prince and Rapunzel.
Also, the Wendy's commercial with the old bag asking her granddaughter about her burger from Wendy's. She ends with commenting on how hot a boy is who works there.

Can you believe how fast this thread went? I've got to go do something constructive before my husband gets home.

I like the Dell Guy.
The most annoying guy is Carrot Top for 1800COLLECT.
To: Paul Atreides
My latest pet peeve has been the radio spot (PSA) by Budweiser where the bouncer won't let the old man into the bar because he doesn't have a valid drivers license even though he's obviously about 100 years old. At first it was just mildly annoying and then I realized it's the same crap they're pulling at the airports and now I have to resist the urge to vomit when it comes on.

The Verizon guy, by a mile. Not only is his character a total loser nerd with a $6.75/hr job that everyone seems to love anyway (ha!), but they also have the audacity to use him to imply that Verizon Wireless will work on practically every square inch of the United States. Having used Verizon, I can state unequivocally that simply isn't anywhere near being true. At least Pier One and Dell tell you what you're truthfully getting if you buy from them.

If we're going to talk about
good commercials, the Dale Jarrett/UPS ones are
great!
You probably have to watch NASCAR events to see them but they're worth it.
