National Park Service Ranger Killed in Shooting Near U.S.-Mexico Border

The Associated Press

TUCSON, Ariz. Aug. 9 — A National Park Service ranger was killed Friday in a shootout with suspected smugglers near the U.S.-Mexico border, authorities said.

The ranger was responding, along with the U.S. Border Patrol, to a call for assistance from Mexican authorities who were chasing two men in a vehicle that crossed the border into the Organ Pipe National Monument.

Authorities were still investigating what happened, and it wasn't immediately clear why the men were being chased.

Dale Thompson, chief park ranger at the monument, said the shootout took place about 100 yards north of the border in a rugged stretch of desert known for both drug and people smuggling.

The ranger's identity wasn't released.

Thanks for the details.

Just another dead US LEO killed by Mexicans who take sanctuary and laugh across the border.

Nothing here folks.

Bump for David March, just another expendable cop killed by a Mexican who ran for sanctuary across the border.

And we do nothing. Nothing.

You just need to learn to speak Spanish. (sarcasm off)

That's actually a good idea ---learn to speak Spanish and get a clue what the new culture moving in really is about. It's not all good. Compare the previous immigrants' popular music with this groups'. Compare the lyrics in a Polish polka songs with the lyrics in the Mexican polka songs. There's a world of difference ----the Polish never seem to sing about killing of border patrol and police or the great wealth to be made off illegal drug running.

And he was killed on US soil but we don't see a problem.

And 9-11 was just an isolated criminal act, because they didn't wear uniforms and fly a flag as they flew into the WTC.

Exactly right. When Al Capone's men gunned down his enemies in the streets, nobody had the audacity to call it a war on the US. even if some of his victims were cops.

I notice that you resort to ad hominem. I'll assume that you concede the argument since you have no actual rebuttal material to offer.

That was one of my concerns. I didn't mention it because I didn't think it would be right to do so without some indication that it could be true. Evidently you've found that indication. I am intensely angered that Federales can fire into the United States with impugnity.

Al Capone's men were Americans who didn't have ties to the Mexican government and army.

Bush is a New World Order Globalist. Everything points to it:

His insistence for an amnesty
Lack of Concern about wide open borders
Calling the Mexican border the "New Frontier"
His celebration of cinqo de mayo in the white house
His praising of deindustrialization and "Free Trade"
His backing down from the UN and the ICC
His claim that the EU is good for Europe
Increased foreign aid
His insistence that U.S. tax dollars be used to develop third world countries, and that it will be a grant, not a loan.
Other examples abound.

It's interesting...the original story mentioned that the "barrage of fire" came from south of the border but I have not heard a follow up. The runner with the long gun was killed, but no US LEO fired his weapon. The authorities on the Mexican side fired the shot that killed the runner...and I'm assuming the shot that killed the Park Ranger. Ballistic tests will answer this.

Oh, that's right. Incompetent buffoon Tom Ridge says that the administration won't do that because of "historical and cultural reasons", neither of which have been explained. Enough.

These reasons are of no significant. It is simply about global governance, and enforcing border laws and better protecting our border would work against that. These guys are new world order pawns.

This bogus "free trade legislation" is not bogus, it is intentional, and its design is to weaken America to become subserviant to a world government. With each passing day, the comments and quotes of Bush become more obvious to the global tyranny agenda. Even the Council of Foreign Relations, shortly after September 11, stated that Bush would likely use the tragedy to carry out what his father called "A New World Order". It's here, folks.

Talks are in line for colorizing our money within a few years. I've even seen reports of eliminating all American bill currency within five to ten years.

In the New World Order, there will be no private property rights, and there will be no international boundaries. Hence, these property owners are bucking the agenda, and they must pay.

Al Capone's men were Americans who didn't have ties to the Mexican government and army.

And the terrorists had no ties to Afghanistan's government nor were they acting on behalf of Afghanistan. And the men in this story obviously didn't have ties to the Mexican government or army as evidenced by the Mexican government's calls for help which prompted American involvement.

Knotts, border enforcement would be simple if the government was actually serious about it. How hard can it be to assign troops to patrol the border, of for the government to increase the number of INS border patrolmen. It wouldn't be very difficult. All this talk of difficulty is smoke and mirrors, and it is designed to condition you to think that the problem is unfixable. It is unfixable because the government doesn't want it to be fixed, for if it were fixed, the new world order system of governance wouldn't be as easily achieved.

It was the government, via prohibition that made Capone able to ammass a powerfull organization which gained its profits on the smuggling of alcohol.

The Medillin cartel has also been made possible by the American government's insistence that legitimate businesses should not distribute drugs and that it should be left to people like Capone.

When's the last time you ever heard of a K-Mart CEO ordering the murder of WALMART employees for moving in on his turf?

Yes, but it goes much farther than that. This is about destroying individual national sovereignty. It's about destroying America, and it is not about compassion or trying to help nations.

In this case, I'm not sure what the Mexican authorities were doing but in general you can't trust that government at all, the citizens of Mexico certainly don't.

The constitution calls for all debts public and private to be paid for in gold and silver coin. Paper money is unconstitutional unless it is backed by gold or silver coin.
