Said McAuliffe: "Americans are tired of so-called leaders who are more interested in protecting their special interests than securing our future."

Truly jaw dropping hypocrisy.

I wish Bush could be as ethical as his predicessor.

I think I will send Dubya a "What Would Bill Clinton Do" bracelet to remind him to do the right thing.

This is a political posturing basically meaningless public relations event, not unlike Clinton's 'economic summit'.

I didn't think much of it then and I do not now.

If you have not yet read "Slander" by Ann Colter, go to a book store, pick it up, and read the first three pages.

Ann is dead-on about the likes of McAuliffe and the Socialist party he represents.

If you read the first three pages of her book, you'll be amazed, and you'll buy it......

Terry, first, switch to decaf (and don't forget your $10,000 check to the DNC campaign and coffee fund for each cup). Second, go to the washroom and take a good look in the mirror.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute.....Here's a thread from a story yesterday:

DNC Chair Blasts GOP Voter Drive
A.P. ^ | RON FOURNIER

And now this thread:

Democratic chairman calls White House economic forum a ``glorified fund-raiser''
Associated Press ^ | 8-9-02 | RON FOURNIER

Two days in a row of the same reporter, quoting the same people, with the same slant, on two different stories?

Is Ron a democrat?  Maybe?  Possibly?

Is it possible that Ron is The Mouthpiece of Evil?

Or is he a "professional and objective" reporter that works for a "professional and objective" news orginization?

You decide.

Personally, I think liberals are pigs.

Thanks for the links. This belongs on the opinion page.

That little DLC fest a short while ago was simply a celebration of patriotism (according to the press), no mention that DLC was, is and will be one big fundraiser. Lieberman's Dem. Leadership Council was created to bring the Dems. closer to Big Business ("Third Way" mischief)...and the Big Business doners in DLC's "5 tiers" of corporate sponsorship don't have to say how much (what's with that?)....including Enron, Goldman Sachs, Bernard Schwartz w/Loral, American Express, Citigroup, British Petroleum, Boeing, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Coca-Cola, Dell, Eli Lilly, Federal Express, Glaxo Wellcome, Intel, Motorola, U.S. Tobacco, Union Carbide, and Xerox, along with trade associations ranging from the American Association of Health Plans to the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America. For $10,000, another 85 corporations signed on as the DLC`s policy roundtable, including AOL, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Citigroup, Dow, GE, IBM, Oracle, UBS PacifiCare, PaineWebber, Pfizer, Pharmacia and Upjohn, and TRW.

And for $25,000, 28 giant companies found their way onto the DLC`s executive council, including Aetna, AT&T, American Airlines, AIG, BellSouth, Chevron, DuPont, Enron, IBM, Merck and Company, Microsoft, Philip Morris, Texaco, and Verizon Communications. etc., etc....meeting all week with the top Dems., getting plenty of positive press and TV face time...during the same week CEOs were hauled off in handcuffs and the Hill was holding hearings and did we hear the press mention this DLC-Dem.-Big Business influence peddling hypocrisy, Mr. Fournier?
How the DLC does it.
