IMHO? the first leak was honestly a leak and Rumsfeld is furious.
The rest are all carefully planned disinformation plan meetings to oust the leaker. Remember how furious GWB got when somebody leaked about something earlier? He called in the leaders of the House & Senate and threatened not to pass on any more info to congress if they couldn't shut their yaps.
It wouldn't be too hard to narrow it down pretty quick.
Say 20 people knew of "the plan" from a high level briefing. Wait a couple days for the leak.
Next have half of those 20 back for another disinformation high level meeting due to the leak of the last plan, but include others. That way, whether the plan is leaked or not, you've got it narrowed down to 10.
Split them up again and have 5 of them and others. If it leaks, you know it's one of the 5, if not it's the 5 that weren't included that go around.
Not so tough to narrow it down from 5 compared to 20.
Rumsfeld's way too smart to keep giving out "real" plans to a group when a leak happened the first time. He's laying the trap, waiting for the rat to take the cheese.

Tonight I watched the new Ted Kopple show, UpClose. They did an interview with Lt. Col. George Gezcy. For the past six months, he has been leading his battalion in war games in the "150-degree" heat of the Kuwaiti desert, just five miles from the border with Iraq. He says he has made the training as tough and demanding as it can possibly be and that they're ready to do what they have to do when they are called on.

Well it's better to be prepare for everything
I don't think Bush will give the go ahead until everything is in place and everyone is ready
I think he'll have several plans with dealing with Iraq because he knows how serious this all is

Interesting discussion this evening. I am also someone of the mind that 9/12 would be an appropriate time to invade Iraq. 9/11 is evidently going to be a big day of memorials and news coverage It would be nice but I don't think the President will do it then ...
This is a time for reflection and prayers to all that lost their lives and the President won't do anything to over shadow the event ..
However, the week after may look good

Oh, no way will the President be rushed into anything. He has at his side some of the most able men and minds ever assembled. All of them have a reputation for troughness and thoroughness. No, when he makes the move everybody will be ready.

I posted this just minutes ago on another thread - fits here!!
I think that Saddam is probably driving his Generals nuts with all the various defensive preperations for our various "leaked" offensive plans.
The advantage is that we know (well George and Rummy know) what plan we will finally settle on. SadBaby has to be ready for all of them......and then maybe we won't do anything we have talked about. Tough problem for those Persian folks.
Cheers!"
