The following is a summary of the information provided on the California DNC website. It offers some eye-opening opinions. And, many oversimplifications and mis understandings. I chose not to copy their web site page, nor to cut and paste information. Instead, what follows is my interpetation of their data. I urge interested people to visit the site themselves to view the information first hand.
Democrats Fight to save Social Security,
While Republicans Fight for big tax cuts for the wealthy.
Democrats Protect our natural resources and environment,
While Republicans Protect the oil companies' bottom line.
Democrats Look for solutions to high energy bills,
While Republicans Look for someone to blame.
Democrats Believe in a need for a meaningful Patient's Bill of Rights,
While Republicans Believe that corporate profits precede patient care.
Democrats,Value scientific freedom and technological progress,
While Republicans, Value the $$$ of conservative fanatics.
The following will take you to the 2002 DNC Party Platform.

ALGORE, when asked about his illegal fundraising activities that took place in a Buddhist temple:- "I didn't realize I was in a Buddhist temple."
Please...PLEASE give me your wonderful ChiCom Money!!!
I especially like the line:
This is the scary part: these slogans are for the activists; these slogans are for their extreme left base voters!
Don't smoke cigarettes....smoke a DemocRAT!
On NOW at RadioFR!
Tonight The Shrew will host William S. Lind of the Free Congress Foundation on Radio Free Republic! Tune in to hear one of the foremost military writers discuss the article he has co-written with Paul Weyrich!
Your fears are well-founded.
Does it not strike you that any so-called "New Democrat" -- say, Bill Clinton, Algore and, especially, Hillary! -- would not be averse to totalitarian rule and governing by diktat?
To them, the Congress and the courts are simply inconveniences. If they cannot be compliant, then we can do without them.
The Constitution? Well, it's O.K....except when it gets in the way.
Sometimes, I think the most dangerous enemies this country might ever face are...Democrats.
In contrast, Republicans can and do speak often of their principles, based on the notions of limited government and individual freedom and responsibility that inspired the Founding Fathers.
Why don't the Dems ever speak of their principles? Because they would be forced to admit that either they have no philosophical core, or if they do, it is composed of nothing but watered down class warfare and income redistribution.
Couldn't agree more...but it's not just targeted to the "base" (who don't stop at much), it's also aimed at the "mindless motor voters" (whether innocent, ignorant, or "other", their votes count, especially with a little "help" where needed)...
Thanks for a very thoughtful and intelligent post...IMHO, you would be very good at writing a few "slogans" that are not only good "propaganda", but also "coherent" in thinking! (Not to seem elitist, but, you know, it couldn't hurt to have a few snappy bumper-stickers and slogans ready for folks who are basically good-hearted but tend to get their news from Oprah...!)
Completely devoid of reality..........think California.
"Democrats,Value scientific freedom and technological progress, While Republicans, Value the $$$ of conservative fanatics."
