In shameful election eve stunner, priest defends radical pro-abort gubernatorial candidate Jennifer Granholm in parish bulletin given to all parishioners this weekend.
"[Abortion protestors] would have the state legislate the freedom that only God can give or take."
"Christians are prochoice in the purest understanding of the term"

Catholic Church...............purge thyself of such filth.I believe it is happening, slowly but surely! It would happen much more quickly if some Bishops grew spines and disregarded what the media might say!

How do you feel about being forced to carry to term a child that was forced on you via rape or incest?Wow! Timeout everybody! Dave's got a fresh new insight here. I'm sure we'll all rethink our position.
Yeesh!

How about hypocrites like you pay for all the doctor visits prior to birth and the cost of delivery out of your own pocket. Maybe you ought to adopt twenty or so of these kids if you feel so strongly that someone else ought to do something. And while your at it, I have some brush I would like you to cut down in back of my house. As long as you get to decide who gets forced to go through labor, then I think I should get a little free labor out of you.

How would you like to be a fetus in 2002?
Your odds of being either born, or sliced to ribbons alive and suctioned into a sewer, are roughly even.
See, this is what makes me ill when I see pro-choice boomers.
THEY, PRECIOUS, WORLD-CHANGING BOOMERS THEY, were conceived, born, and grew up in the Leave it to Beaver era, when it was taboo to have an abortion. Unspeakable. A grave sin. Evil act. (It still is, BTW.)
THEN, the odds were miniscule of being aborted, if you were a fetus.
Not so now, thanks to them. OK for their generation to be allowed to live, but, subsequent ones, hell no. They are not as good as us. WE were at Woodstock, for crying out loud.
Evil generation, them boomers.
They got a lotta bad karma they got coming back to them someday.

How can you be actively involved (lector or priest, laity or clergy) in the Church, and be Pro Abort?
SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!
I swear, these people, I just...
aaaaaaaaaaaargh.
To: Dave S
Tried that, actually.
Offered to foot the medical bills for the daughter of one of my wife's employees. Found out she was planning an abort. Offered assistance, offered counseling, offered adoption.
She killed the baby anyway, since birth would have cramped her social life.
Had a cousin who worked in Social Services in California. She was a liberal hippie in all ways but one: she was pro-life. Why? Because she had SEEN what pro-choice means. The teenage girls would come in three, four even six times for multiple abortions. It was paid for by the state, after all, and pills were a bother and condoms were messy and what the hey, it's just a blob of tissue anyway.

Applaud the wife, old chap. Her idea. I just said "OK."
To: Land of the Irish
Exactly. On 9/11, the other fire dept. chaplian decided that the conditions for general absolution were met for emergency workers who were entering the building.
To: Dave S
I dont recognize that tissue growth as a human until somewhere near the second trimester, certainly not at conceptionWhy, in particular, then?

The presence of this priest in a church is blasphemous. God does not sanction abortion, or the "free choice" of abortion. Period.

The Vatican won't do one single thing against this. Ask yourself, "Why not?"
To: Mr. Thorne
Corruption trickles down from the very top.
To: Dave S
Actually, for the baby being ever-so-legally dismembered alive, it is a rather huge cross to bear. Don't you care?
To: stands2reason
I can't even call myself a Christian (I lack faith in the miracle of the infallibility of the Bible... Catholics don't believe the Bible is infallible, but rather that it's a mixture of divine inspiration and human short-sightedness.
We believe the prayerful believer, open to correction, and standing in the trajectory of a developing tradition, stands in the best position to see the divine in the Bible. As finite creatures, we'll never have the full vision till Our Father calls us home.

But what the hey -- as long as Papa Doc's already in the market for his millstone, why not go for it all? I appreciated your post.
