In shameful election eve stunner, priest defends radical pro-abort gubernatorial candidate Jennifer Granholm in parish bulletin given to all parishioners this weekend.
"[Abortion protestors] would have the state legislate the freedom that only God can give or take."
"Christians are prochoice in the purest understanding of the term"

I think this would be the perfect response to this liberal twaddle:
Moses told the Israelites, . . . I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 30:19-20a

I have mixed emotions about abortion, but I wouldn't if I believed as a matter of faith that a human being was the detritus by product. The priest would be more honest if he just said that he was not free from doubt as to what was human and what wasn't. If he was not free from doubt, his point of view would not be as stated. I don't have much respect for those with opinions who are not honest about their assumptions. It simply dishonors the public square to do business that way.

Did he not violate his 501(c)(3) status by doing this? Yet Jesse Jackson violates his all the time and no protest.
Same thing happened in the early 90's with the Catholic Church and Prop 6 to limit the size of Goverment in the State of Mass. The priest used the pulpit to speak out about it.
Were is the ALCU and the Seperation of Church and state crowd over this Tax Violation?
The silence is deafing.......

Could somebody please copy the article out and post it on this thread? It won't open for me. All I get is a list of the names of the 5 million members of the parish staff.

I don't have much respect for those with opinions who are not honest about their assumptions. It simply dishonors the public square to do business that way. I respect people of all faiths, coming from an honest viewpoint but this "priest" is a pathetic liar because Catholics have this stuff spelled out for us in black and white in the Cathechism which is based on the Bible and upon tradition. I'm so sick of priests who pretend not to know the rules...they are printed in balck and white...for Catholics.
