You have to understand, texassforever is probably an illegal and is worried that someday the government will do it's job and deport him.

That's the best you can do?

I suspected you were David Duke. The more you write, the more convinced I become.

...Where is Sharon's outrage? He followed his usual pattern and sent in the tanks, he killed a couple of Pallies, blew up a house and then withdrew. It is a pattern Israel has used for 30 years...

Thank you, Texasforever for providing so typical answer... Friends and enemies alike don't understand Israeli restraint in the face of the mortal danger. How anybody can do nothing, and I agree with what you are saying: killing a couple Pallies and blowing up a house and withdrawing - is NOTHING. How can they stupidly and suicidaly think that this is a response? Arabs are laughing to that. It is understood as weakness by the enemies, and unsureness in their own rightfulness by the friends. It is stupid, unpractical and is suicidal. What, is the world going to condemn them even more? They were hated but respected by the enemies. Now, just hated. Not wise...

Your command of the written word makes you the more likely immigrant. When did you swim across?

My goodness, you sure are trying hard to put a lot of words into my mouth, aren't you? Unfortunately for your "cause", they don't fit. You have improperly ascribed a torrent of thoughts to me based upon zero evidence whatsoever. You certainly can't find any support for those assertions in any of the words that I have actually written. So I will decline the opportunity to act as the straw man for your "arguments"...

I was talking about COMMON SENSE .. not travel advisories. Your name calling, as in, "You Bushbots etc" is childish, not clever. Especially in light of the fact that, I'm not the one who has to see a travel advisory .. I have common sense.

How many terrorist attacks have their been at NYU? And if you think New York is a war zone, we have a whole bunch of other states where you can send your children to school.

I love my country and I abhor seeing Americans die. I suggest you start getting my point .. I am not buying into your theory that American cities are as equally threatened as Israel.

Yes, I would oppose sending my children to any university where the odds are, they would die in a terrorist attack. And no, I do not equate the threat in America as equal to the threat in Israel.

If you feel you have to send you children to Hebrew U, and risk their lives, in order to show that terrorists that they can't "win", that is your call. But don't try to convince me to do the same because I'm not going to risk their lives to prove a point.

Your talk of "napalming Palistinans" and "forced expulsion of every filthy raghead" is a real good indication of your rationality. Follow your example? No thanks .. I'll pass.

The term Bushbot is used to describe those Bush supporters who can see no wrong in what their leader does or does not do. If the shoe fits.

Please use your common sense to tell me where in the world it is not safe to travel. Would you suggest not to travel to any arab country, or perhaps not to travel to any country country where there is a large muslim population. Perhaps it is not a good idea to travel to Taiwan or china, certainly not Korea or South Korea. I know that there terrorists in Japan, Ireland, France, Germany and England, can't go there.

Where in the world can I go and feel safe in the knowledge that the Bush administration might provide some protection or at least retaliate if I get killed by terrorists.

Common sense says that I should stay home and hide in the basement. What do you have to say.

Don't be so condescending. I know what a bot is. I run about 16 of them. My reference was to your name calling.

I never said it was not safe to travel. YOU said that there were no travel adverseries about not traveling to Israel .. and I said that not being a "bushbot" I didn't need a travel advisary to tell me it wasn't safe to go to school there. Not being a bot, I can use my common sense. And you try to turn that around to suggest I am saying it is not safe to travel? What a red herring.

C'mon you can do better than that .. or umm , maybe ..

You wrote:"My goodness, you sure are trying hard to put a lot of words into my mouth, aren't you? Unfortunately for your "cause", they don't fit. You have improperly ascribed a torrent of thoughts to me based upon zero evidence whatsoever. You certainly can't find any support for those assertions in any of the words that I have actually written. So I will decline the opportunity to act as the straw man for your "arguments"

I suspect that the following are, to you, putting words into your mouth and ascribing thoughts to you since I wrote, as part of a long post (#94):

"I wonder whether we can count on you to be outraged when Americans who are Muslims or Christians are killed by Israel? Or is the approved outrage only for Americans who are of some other stripe? Does your outrage extend to Messianic Jewish believers who are killed or do you, like the government of Israel consider them less than the approved others, not to be accorded all of the same rights?

I grieve for Jews (not American) whom my written checks helped to bring out of bondage into Israel whose lives were taken by the senselessness of this conflict. I grieve for those who were brought to "freedom" who haven't the freedom in Israel to worship the God of Abraham according to THEIR consciences without being seen as second-class."

These questions were rhetorical because in saying "you" I was referring to the corporate group who would identify with you in your positional thinking and looking back one couldn't expect an answer. Perhaps I could have used the phrase "y'all" but that might have been mistaken in some other direction. Of course you cannot answer for a group.
I went on to describe my own grief and responsibility for enabling others to be in harm's way. Others who wanted a real homeland, a place of rest.

Fascinating that you viewed what I wrote as "assertions" or words in your mouth and pulled a "straw man" out of it. I cannot fathom where you found a "straw man" or assertions in questions but it is your privilege to see whatever you choose.

By contrast I cannot comprehend how the thinking on ANY side is sane much less righteous by any standard. But then "righteous" is nowhere in vogue these days.

I certainly have neither the desire nor the commission to justify or condemn anyone for his beliefs, dearly held. In my view we each answer individually to One greater for whatever we choose to believe as well as for what we utter.

Shalom

Ok, write me again in 5 years. Besides, I am not selling, I am observing.

As I said, the term is "dual nationality."

As I have described on FR before, one of my college classmates was born in Brazil of US parents. His parents registered his birth at the US Embassy. He's a US citizen and carries a US passport. After he graduated from college, he wanted to go back to Brazil to visit family friends. When he went to get his visa, he was told that Brazil considered him a citizen and if he entered Brazil he'd be immediately drafted into their armed forces. Even if he renounced Brazilian citizenship (which he didn't even know he had), the Brazilian officials told him that they would still consider him a Brazilian national because he was born in that country. That's how he gained dual nationality without him even knowing it.
