You're so clueless I don't even know where to begin. But glad that you think you know the mind of God. I'm sure He's glad you speak for Him. Lucky Him.

This is nothing more than another person trying to sway America more to the left and toward Soddom.Like one of you said if he does not pratice sex for all intents and purpose he is not gay.Just another part of the gay movement and agenda tp promote the homosexual cause and in the end they will lose not only because of moral or spiritual issues but form the health standpoint and a lot of innocent children and adults will pay for it also.

The Catholic church teaches that it's okay to be gay IF you remain celibate. Of course this is NOT Christian. Catholic dont' believe that through God ALL things are possible. Catholics don't believe that. It's redefined compassion.

Wrong. I always find it humorous when someone of your caliber definitively states what the Catholic Church teaches.

Chastity and homosexuality

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,[140] tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."[141] They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. They do not choose their homosexual condition; for most of them it is a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

140 Genesis19:1-29; Romans 1:24-27; 1 Corinthians 6:10; 1 Timothy 1:10

141 Persona Humana 8

Once again, Catholicism is not Biblical and does not follow the teachings of Christ.

Where ignorance is bliss, tis folly to be wise.

But of course a disposition toward acts which are 'intrinsically disordered' is a disorder. Homosexuality is a serious psychological disorder which is most highly correlated (for men) with absence of fatherly love as a child, absence of brotherly love as a child, homosexual molestation as a child or teen and absence of acceptance from same-sex peers as a child. One cannot blame a person for being homosexual, but (as nmh points out), it is right to say that it is a perversion of compassion to excuse or 'celebrate' homosexual acts such as anal intercourse or which are filthy and disgusting and are far off the track for God's plan for human sexuality. In many cases, homosexuality can be prevented in youth (though this is not widely known), and in quite a number of cases it can be treated. Compassion would suggest that information on prevention and cures be made known, but of course, that is almost disallowed these days. For those who truly suffer from it and cannot be cured, it still is (unfortunately) a very disordered condition. To have a priesthood which is 1/3 or more suffering from this condition has all sorts of consequences. First, there is the undeniable attraction to teenage boys held my many homosexual men - and the now obvious dangers that presents to teenage boys. Second, there is an inability to truly understand normal human sexuality and to teach it with that full understanding. Third, in an all male priesthood, which lives in close quarters to one another, there are omnipresent temptations for those who are homosexual (like a normal priest living in a dorm full of attractive women). Fourth, the queerization of the Church has obviously led to a rejection of traditional Catholic sexual morality, and to a rejection of the vow of celibacy (and thus to a rejection of obedience to the Church). Compassion means reaching out and helping homosexuals. It does not mean they should be priests.

In the Church, they already have.

I knew it was coming. There will be more nonsense like this coming up. The presstitutes want to wound the Church but spare the perverts, thus wound the Church of Christ even more.

If you don’t want to have a “pedophilia” problem, then don’t ordain pedophiles!

As long as the priest is not engaging in sexual relations (as any of his unmarried parishioners would be forbidden to do), why do we care about his sexual orientation? This priest should not fear anything, unless he is misbehaving.

But the majority of homosexual priests in the Church are sexually (quite) active, according to many surveys. They should fear something.

"I think that has to happen, keeping homosexuals out of the seminaries and priesthood," said the Rev. Charles Dahlby, a priest in rural Illinois. "The church is desperately trying to avoid looking at that.

It (the Church) certainly is. As if this doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality.

The Roman Catholic Church already has decided but the American Catholic Church is off track. There might be more to this than meets the eye.

I'm sure there is.

"The fact that the bishops are unwilling to discuss the homosexual issue is an indictment against them."

It certainly is. It's like when a house burns down and we're not allowed to discuss combustion.

"The church is in a very funny position because its teaching says that homosexuality is so immoral, and the church has so many gay priests. The church could not function without gay priests."

We would not have had this horrific scandal, involving the spiritual and physical rape of thousands of teenage boys, without gay priests. The Church would be far better off NOW, if it weren't overrun with homosexuals.

"We have huge number of homosexual priests actively engaged in the gay (promiscuous) lifestyle.

I wonder if the Politically Correct atmosphere were different in the US. If we could say AIDS was a Gay plague and if we could acknowledge that sodomy was unhealthy would things be different and we would actually condemn evil. The Gay Lobby holds great sway in the media, government and the Democratic Party.

Perhaps, if free speech was allowed in the US and the debate could be carried on the damage Gays do to society then what would we be talking about when we discuss this problem in the Church? Aren't we all pulling our punches? Holding back what we really think and afraid to lay out our fears.

Even though we are consertatives here on FR we still pull our punches and won't really BLAST the gays. Freepers have been programmed very well!

We have free speech, if we have the courage to avail ourselves of it. As for homosexuals, I was live and let live until they started trying to push their way into my sons' Boy Scout troop, started trying to destroy Boy Scouts, and until thousands of teenage boys were brutally raped by homosexual priests in my Church. Now I'm angry - really angry.

A church which recognizes homosexual/pedophile priests is not a church under God.

The very concept is diametrically opposed to God's law and Natural law, whichever holds value for you.

There are no gay priests, period. If they are actively engaged in activity which would define them as such, then they are not actively representing any interests in the name of God. When any church makes a point to recongize them they have effectively openly declared they are not a church that serves God, but instead serve the enemy.

Thought the above was important enough to repeat. Thanks for the ping, EdReform.

Now I'm angry - really angry.

Now how did that go in Germany in 1938?

First, they came for the Jews and I didn't say anything because I wasn't Jewish.

Then they came for the schools and I didn't say anything..

Then they came for network TV and I didn't say anything..

Then they came for freedom of speech..

Side note; I've been fired from two jobs because my conservative attitude shows and well he might say something not politically correct.

Soon they will come for you at work!!

My Church has accepted, succored, and supported thousands of actively homosexual priests. The lives of thousands of teenage boys have been ruined. They have not served God; rather, they have served his antagonist.
