This morning, President Bush, joined by firefighters and police officers, emergency personnel and local public officials, addressed members of Congress in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Office Buiding at the White House on the subject of the Homeland Security Department, stressing the need for managerial flexibility as a key to it's success. This afternoon in a ceremony in the East Room of the White House, he honored the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, calling on Congress to fund his New Freedom Initiative budget requests.
Last night House and Senate negotiators agreed on a bill that would give President Bush fast tracked trade promotion authority, and this afternoon, he made a trip to Capitol Hill to thank them, and to urge House Republicans to back the bill. Enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

My 15 year old has promised to help me ...
Kids learn fast, don't they. I've been a professional in this computer business for about 25 years, and my 13 year old ends up teaching me stuff.

Yeah, but isn't it a better temperature in upstate NY about now, than it is is Florida?
Your family sounds like us.....Daughter #1 in Wisconsin, Son #1 in Minnesota, Son #2 in Kentucky (boot camp) and Daughter #2 still at home......in Ohio, of course!
Thank heavens for e-mail, eh and IM, huh?

Its been pretty hot here lately.. not normal for us!! We get our summer in about 2 weeks if we are lucky!! Very little snow this winter, and lots of dry spells. The farmers are having a rough time!! Until it poors for 3 hours staight, then they say its too wet!!
My sisters were smart to leave NY! But you cant beat the falls here... favorite time of the year!!

**I did see the cans, and there was no space **
They *could* have made the font smaller in order to include 'under God' in the pledge. They chose not to and have lost my business.

Bowling Green University for me. I remember "gentle" winters compared to Rochester NY.
Have you shared your son's Boot Camp address with the freepers? I wonder if he or someone he knows wants to get mail or small packages? I never seem to know where to send them that they are appreciated. Maybe he could find someone without family to write...and pass on the name and address??
I am sure you write to your son, but Joyskid and I could adopt another person. My husband used to tell of people who never got any mail. Any thought on this idea?

I will write to Eric (or talk to him, if he happens to be able to call), and ask if he knows of anyone who doesn't get mail. He's been witnessing to a number of guys, and having a Bible Study with one in particular, so he probably knows someone who could use a lift.
What a wonderful idea, 3D-JOY! I don't know if Joy is your name, or if it is just in your nature to bring joy to people. In either case, you have a gift! Thank you!

My daughter's scout troop is looking to write to servicemen, too!! I can pass info to the leader when it starts up again in September!

I talked with Eric tonight (HE CALLED!!), and he said there were some guys who didn't get mail, and he'd get their addresses. They're only in basic for 3 more weeks, so that wouldn't work for September, but by then he'll be in AIT, and there will probably be others.
I'll let you know when I find out anything, and will freep you the addresses.
THANKS AGAIN!!
To: ohioWfan; JoysKid
If they want to continue receiving mail they will forward new addresses!
Thanks so much for your efforts. I did not know that the kids were looking for names too! They might have to write to blind names only for their security and the parents peace of mind. Leaders could handle the addresses!
