Mr Robinson, Cant we do something about this sir? Arent there enough of us to make our voice heard? I am starting to feel rather helpless here sir as we watch this happen to our children.
How many registered free republic members are there? if no one else is going to do anything about this, cant we? Cant we get a petition together and send it to President Bush? I know we have all thought of cool tortures for these demons, but what can we as a likeminded group of concerned people really do?

Does anyone think this might have had a copycat element in it with all the publicity given the Samantha Runnion murder, manhunt, funeral, etc.?

What is Pres. Bush supposed to do? It is a LOCAL matter, as is ALL CRIME... There is no role for FedGov in this matter. Sorry to pee on your Cheerios but that's the way of it. You'd be better off talking to the locals there and see what they can do... plant a few ideas and suggestions. Just STOP trying to get the FedGov camel's nose any further into the tent. Thanks.

One thing we could do is demand legislation that no child offender is ever allowed on the streets again, mandatory life, no parole, no letting them go because of "over crowding", no time served, no good behaviour, just the rest of their miserable lives in a cell.
As for child killers, mandatory death, within a reasonable amount of time, no waiting ten to twenty years for them to meet justice.

We have two cases of little girls being killed in the last week but before going off the deep end, why not look at what happened.
One 5 year old is playing in front of a condo with a playmate -- no adults around; the second one is in a house where they allowed a homeless man to sleep on the couch.
Two perfectly innocent little girls were killed by perverts because adults first couldn't take the time to go outside when their little girls were playing in front of a condo and in the second case they let a homeless man in a house.
Where is the adult responsibility in both cases? I would never have allowed any my three children play in the front yard without supervision at 5 years of age -- that is why we paid for a fence on our 1/2 acre when we lived in SoCal, and we lived in a quiet foothills town. Secondly, if I were staying in someone's house and they allowed a homeless man or someone I didn't know to sleep there, I would have left with my daughter.
I'm really sorry that these two little girls had to die because they were perfectly innocent, but isn't it time that parents who have children start putting their children's safety first and in both instances that did not happen?
As for the men that killed them, they should be put to death immediately so they cannot get out on some technicality by some defense lawyer and a liberal CA judge!
Go ahead and flame but I think if more parents paid attention to their children, then things like this may not happen so often! My two cents!

Delbert, I'm pinging Jeff Head for you in regards to initiating a position (if he has time).
