[history]
July 26, 2002 -- The stock collapse of AOL Time Warner yesterday is dragging a virtual who's who of media moguls into pikersville.
A growing accounting scandal sent shares of the world's largest media company to their lowest level since the early 1990s.

"It will be interesting to see what happens. Will AOL sell off assets like the sports teams? They should get good money for the Atlanta Braves ball club - the problem is finding a buyer for a major league baseball team right now." I doubt it, unless they get sold as a package along with some of the broadcasting properties. The Braves regular season games alone provide TBS with nearly 500 hours of original programming at a fraction of the cost of producing sitcoms, dramas, or made-for-TV movies. Besides, soon there likely won't be baseball for a long time.

God will NOT be mocked. Whatsoever ye sow, so shall ye reap. Can't say I feel too bad about this one "Dear Lord, even though I don't believe in you, I have to ask you why you have taken away my fortune? Why have you taken my company away from me? Why have you taken my butt ugly commie tree hugging wife from me? Why have you made me the laughing stock of the entire world?"
Ted, you pissed me off!"

Sic transit gloria! Translation please, oh Latin one!
I believe "Fame/Glory is fleeting" is close eg: Enjoy it while it lasts!

Invested at 10% (Very do-able in high finance circles)
10% today? Unsecured junk bonds in Global Crossing or Enron? Arthur Anderson futures? Pray be more specific - I'd settle for a solid 8 pecent return. Thanks in advance!

People hate us who don't even know us because of what ole Ted has told them via CNN. You don't know the extent of the hate. I work with some people here in Europe who think that CNN is pro-American propaganda. I tell them it is pro-communist/socialist propaganda. We have a major disconnect.

It was a joke, since you are foreign to this I will explain.
It's akin to saying: "Don't call me that again till I can look it up" when you don't understand something someone has said.
I figured it wasn't anything bad directed at me..
I was kidding.

Keep in mind I am techno-challenged and need something simple and safe. Thinking AOL is easy and safe is why the sign people up, who leave in 6-12 months once they figure out what the ISP competition is. First, AOL pop-ups drive me crazy, the junk mail is horrendous, and it's not as easy to use as others.
I'm sold on cable and Internet Explorer, it's easy and fast.

Dear Ted: Why should you blame a God you don't believe in? The devil runs this world, not God. He only comes into the picture when He's asked and welcomed to do so. How can He bless you, Ted?
