Woman branded a hippo by internet date threatens to sue

A woman is threatening legal action after a man she met through an internet dating agency described her as a "hippo".

Romanians Nicoleta Popescu and Gabriel Malinescu had their first date after two months of on-line flirting and phone calls.

Nicoleta now says she's going to sue Gabriel for emotional distress.

But he says she purposefully deceived him, claiming she weighs eight stone when he reckons she's much heavier.

Gabriel, 33, from Bucharest, told the National newspaper: "I expected to see a blonde, blue-eyed, slim beauty in front of me. But what I got was a gigantic hippo. She told me she weighed eight stones but she was more like 18."

He added: "The passionate embrace I had long-awaited was certainly off the cards when we met."

After a brief encounter, Gabriel told Nicoleta she wasn't his type and he never wanted to hear from her again.

Nicoleta, who's 29, says she's going to sue him for emotional distress.

"He hurt my feelings and has caused me considerable anguish," she said. "He has obviously not heard the saying that beauty is on the inside."

Maybe his feelings were hurt by hippo's lies and he should sue too. Blar. I swear, everytime I hear this, "My feelings are hurt, I'm suing" mumbo jumbo, I feel sick.

What a spoiled generation!

1 Stone is 14 pounds as I recall. I almost married an Aussie girl who weighed 8 stone. Met her on R&R in Sidney in '68.

Randy Neuman said it best when in his song Fat People, "Fat people got no reason to live".

TOO FAT POLKA (She's Too Fat For Me)

by Ross MacLean and Arthur Richardson

Here's a silly ditty, you can sing it right away
Now, here is what you say
So sing it while you may
Here's a silly jingle, you can sing it night or noon
Here's the words, that's all you need
'Cause I just sang the tune:

Oh, I don't want her, you can have her
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat for me
I don't want her, you can have her,
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat
     She's too fat
     She's too fat for me

I get dizzy
I get numbo
When I'm dancing
With my Jum-Jum-Jumbo

I don't want her, you can have her
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat for me
I don't want her, you can have her
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat
     She's too fat
     She's too fat for me

Can she prance up a hill?
     No, no, no, no, no
Can she dance a quadrille?
     No, no, no, no, no
Does she fit in your coupe?
     By herself she's a group
Could she possibly
Sit upon your knee?
     No, no, no

We don't want her, you can have her
     She's too fat for me
And she's too fat for me
But she's just right for me
We don't want her, you can have her
     She's too fat for me
     Yeah, she's too fat,
     Much too fat
But she's just right for me

She's so charming
And she's so winning

But it's alarming
When she goes in swimming

We don't want her, you can have her
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat for me
But she's just right for me
So I sure want her, you can't have her
     She's just right for me

     But she's too fat!
     She's not too fat!
     She's just right for me!

She's a twosome,
She's a foursome
If she'd lose some
I would like her more some

I don't want her, you can have her
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat for me
I don't want her you can have her
     She's too fat for me
     She's too fat
     Much too fat
     She's too fat for me
     Hey!

touring band gained acclamation ... by getting up at the song's
     end and singing,

Send that fat babe to me, Buster,
The heftier she is, the happier I'll be.

>>"He has obviously not heard the saying that beauty is on the inside."<<

Obviously this girl is of the impression that lying keeps the insides clean and beautiful. We tell our kids that lying is the most dispicable thing they can do. Liars and sneaks disgust me.

I just don't get this timeline here however. he told the newspaper that she was a hippo AFTER she filed suit? She said he told her she wasn't his type which is a whole bunch nicer than saying "I don't date lardarses"

Sure this guy is totally and completely shallow- but suing him is about the most pitiful thing she can do. Dieting might be a whole lot better if she really is 18 stone (252 lbs). Suing him wont fix the obvious lack of self-esteem.

He should have gone to the Tony Robbins seminar first. Then she would have looked just like Gwyneth Paltrow.

1 Stone = 14 lbs. I think.

Either that or eight furlongs, two fortnights.
