Traficant's Web Site Down with the Speed of Light
Congressional Web Site
| Arthur Wildfire! March
Posted on 07/25/2002 2:58:18 AM PDT by Arthur Wildfire! March
With the speed of light, House members had Traficant's web site removed. The most provocative library of one minute speeches, lost. Please join me in demanding the House that Traficant's web site be brought back up until after recess. At the very least, his one minute speeches. Ask your representative what they are trying to hide.

You're a prince.
Seriously, this guy ends up in jail, my Mom's just going to have to deal with the fact I'm bent on getting a convict for a pen pal and publishing my mash notes for all the world to see (with his permission, of course).
(Though it's true that, for every letter I send Traficant, I ought to send one first to the 70-something priest they've got in the hoosegow for protesting at an abortion clinic ... assuming he's still removed from society for our protection. I should check on that.)

I'd say that between the court bringing a sentence and appeals he could make the show in August.
But if you don't, I'll bring the dimes.

It sounds like we have a deal.
;^)
But seriously, I'm gonna try and get this guy. Forget one-minute speeches, I'll yield to him a whole hour!

Traficant was a borderline-mafia clown who, beyond the fact that he voted against the IRS at every opportunity (which is always a good thing)...
...he deliberately devalued the Austere Majesty of the Congress.
Which is, also, always a very good thing.
I'll boost my Monthly $$$ a buck or two for Storage if the Admins will archive every single Traficant One Minute Speech we can find. Any other takers?

Billy Jeff Blow Job was going to pony up a roll of dimes but suddenly remembered he needed them to create the appearance of a 'bigger' penis.

I'm in. 53 posted on 7/26/02 12:21 AM Pacific by nunya bidnessHey, that's two of us!! At two bucks a pop, all we need is another 48 FReepers and we've raised our contribution $$$ by a hundred bucks a month for extra Storage.
And it makes sense, too!!
- The Buchananistas always loved Traficant, 'cause he always voted Tariffs and Minimum Wage -- not very capitalistic, but it fit his Representative Guido "little guy" schtick just fine.
- And the Capitalists oughtta love Traficant all the same, 'cause he's always voted against the IRS and in favor of Tax Cuts -- if only to save his own hide. You gotta love that!!
- What's more, the Tin-Foil-Hatters (if they contribute any cash to FR, which I kinda doubt) always loved Traficant, because there is no conspiracy theory whatsoever which Traficant did not entertain -- on the floor of Congress, no less!!
- FR's humorists loved Traficant for obvious reasons -- he was a Clown.
- And the Anarchists loved Traficant for much the same reason -- he made the rest of Government look like Clowns as well.
Archive Traficant!! He's gonna be permanently locked up for all posterity; the least we can do, is do the same for his One-Minute Speeches!!
I yield back the jailhouse rock of the Funniest Congressman in modern history.

If memory serves, fisticuffs were very common between Congress-critters. As a matter of fact, a rule or law was passed expressly forbidding duels behind the Capitol.

I agree, he has two jurors saying they wouldn't have voted to convict now. Rumors have the judge complict with the same mob they accuse him of being involved with.
He speaks his mind on the IRS/Treasury/FBI and other goobermint outfits that have gotten completely out of control, that's why he had to go.

Thank you. I got to hear Mr. Traficant's speeches on Rush's TV show. Rush would call him "our favorite democrat" and he is still mine. I hope he gets re-elected.
To: AnnaZ
Jim Traficant on "Unspun"... Good Lord, that'd be a hoot!
