He must have got a mosquito bite.

Isn't Maylaria one of Bubba's floozies? If not I'm sure he would like to meet her. He could arrange something while Hillary's running New York.

LOL.
But I think you only get it from mosquitoes. The sprayed Hardball guests can rest easy.

He was traveling in December and is just getting treated for it now (7 months later)??? How long does maylaria linger in your system before you show symptoms?....or how long can you deal with the symptoms before you get so bad you have to go to the doctor/hospital?
To: Benrand
He's sometimes a blonde, but he's also a redhead and a whitehead.He's also a butthead...or head-in-butt...

Although I despise Chris Mathews for his flip-flop politics (he hates the Clintons--but trashes the Republicans with regularity), I still wish him a speedy recovery.

Don't hurt that Malaria, or we will boycott MSNBC!
Malaria is a living thing. It has RIGHTS and must be protected!
Sorry, but the news geek must die.
To: kcvl
A historical note:
In the early days, malaria was endemic to the Washington DC area; you didn't have to travel someplace exotic to get it.
To: kcvl
"Airport malaria" has also become prevalent the past few years. Cargo unloaders and baggage handlers have been coming down with the malady. Infected mosquitos will lodge in the storage areas, cargo and luggage of planes arriving from Africa.
One woman got it from an airborn mosquito while just driving past London's Heathrow airport. She had never been out of the country.
