US Media Kicking up Terrific Racket About 'China Threat'

US Media Kicking up Terrific Racket About 'China Threat'

US Associated Press (AP) was made known lately by its government that new missile sales by the US government- 200 sophisticated high-priced AIM-120 missiles are imminent to China's Taiwan.

Inconceivably, turning a blind eye to the US transgressing on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity in an attempt to block China's reunification these US media just seize no time to go to every length to paint a sinister picture of China following their theory of 'China threat'.

According to China News Service report July 13, the US defense ministerial report 'Strength of China's Armed Force' must be attributed to fomenting the new 'China threat' racket. The report alleges that Sino-US exchanges may bring trade, science and technology benefits to the US but in the long run China constitutes the 'major challenge' to the US.

China is justified to enhance national defense and same must also be the US Ministry of National Defense with a new annual report put out as 'Jean's Defense Weekly' Asia-Pacific Region chief told that 'I don't think Pentagon's report offers anything extraordinary'.

But it has become a completely different thing on the US media. July 13 saw US most famous 'WorldNetDaily' released its red banner headline coverage: 'China's Object': Sink US Aircraft Carriers. Meanwhile it saw to it that a questionnaire be put out to make a further fuss about 'China threat' in the way 92 percent of the responds online regards China as a threat to the US. 'WorldNetDaily' as 'Washington Post' has all along been known for their 'rightist', 'conservative' and 'anti-China' stand. So for their anti-China stand the two are by no means isolated or just few for they find AP and Reuter, Washington Times, Washington Post, New York Times, CNN, USA Today also in their company having much ado about the theory of 'China threat'.

Things seem to have been treated in an objective and just manner on the part of those anti-China media when you just look at the headlines and the way of their coverage superficially. But by their contents and between the lines of their news coverage you'll find their conjectured 'China 'threat' and their 'direct threats' from China to the US, being conveyed most cunningly by the mouth of others. We must point it out that these reports have been released in the way no ordinary readers would find it easy to see through underlying prejudices and their hidden political leanings as the handiwork of top-notch editorship.

This is as has been aptly put by a senior news expert with a mainstream new medium in the UK: News reports by mainstream media in the US seem to have been fairly treated but things are just not so much as desired. Take for example, you just can't go deep or make an analytic study into their reports on Israeli slaughter in Palestine's Jenin refuge camp and these had made no exception with news coverage of AP, Reuter, New York Times, Los Angels Times and UK's The Independent amongst others.

The Western media used to swing from one extreme to another extreme when going in deals lashing out at China. It would be meant the greatest risk when the slightest pro-China striving should be revealed.

'China threat' has been created in many forms. The various 'threats' rampage in the West such as China closing net bars 'brings threat to democracy and liberty', China buying submarines from Russia 'poses threat to the whole of the world' and China' missile tests 'forms threat to the whole international community'. With these are also China's AIDS 'constitute threat to the whole humankind' and an ancient fish species from China has even formed threat to the US. On Yahoo, access to 'China threat', in a few seconds, one will find hundreds of news items on the theory of 'China threat' and a whelming majority of these have been dished up during a recent time and by those of mainstream media in the US.

It was a Chinese paper, but I don't think it was The People's Daily.

They bought an Onion story about Congress threatening to move unless DC built them a new Capitol. They didn't quite get the sports satire.

I see you've become the local spokesperson for the Chicoms. Since you don't seem to comment on anything after you post these delusional screeds from the Chinese, you evidently side with them. While you call yourself a Libertarian, the folks over at Lew Rockwell have been doing a wonderful job of painting all of your party as closet communists at best - your posts seem to paint you right into that same corner.

Remember this well: China IS the greatest enemy that this nation faces. Should we go to war with them it won't be the US that fires the first shots, and if they start the conflict there will be many millions of dead Americans. Save your Chinese bootlicking around here. It's becoming nauseating.

Excuse me, but weren't these threats, these realities brought to the forefront nearly a decade ago here and on many other sites?

This is an incredibly delayed reaction (stupidity) on the part of the Socialist media mental midgets from the top on down.

Hackworth and many others have been telling those who had their hearing aids on for a long, long time.

The Dems still think it is quite humorous, don't they?

China IS the greatest enemy that this nation faces.

I would agree with this statement 110% but I would consider my political views as primarily libertarian...so go stuff it!

Did you write that yourself as-is, or did you write normal english and then do a Babelfish translation to Chinese and back? ;-)

Thanks.  After reading about half the article, I just
had a feel for the oddness of it.  I wrote it as is.
