Hooray!!
(You watch.. this sounds like a big nothing right now.. but give it a few years to develop a precedent and to ward off legal challenges, then we will go bash some people over the head with it.)

Supporters of the law noted numerous documented instances of children born during abortions who were left to die or were smothered by doctors. Try that now and they'll be up for murder charges, as they should be. What else can you call it??

I would like to see a source on this. Sounds like an urban legend to me.

As predicted, NOW's feminazi warriors are losing their clout as more and more of the baby boom generation gradually begin having grand-children (thus heralding a Conservative shift in their thinking). Ten years ago they would have fought this bill tooth and nail. As recently as five years ago they may have even won.
Now we've got another two decades to watch this demographic trend accelerate, as more and more Boomers join the ranks of their older peers.
Score another victory for the pro-Life crowd. We've still got a long way to go, but at least we are heading in the right direction.

What was the vote split?
To: nickcarraway
Well it doesn't go nearly far enough, but it's a start.

The SENATE passed this??? President Bush must have been twisting arms.
I don't think ther'll be a problem with him signing it.
Thank GOD this passed. Thank GOD.

Sounds like something for a Rose Garden ceremony.

They forgot the liberal spin. They need to add the following lines:
"Opponents however contend this sets a dangerous precedent that may interfere with a woman's right to choose."
"Many voters feel this is may have negative after-effects."
"With strong support from the Religious Right..."

Thank God, truly. But I have to admit that whenever I read news like this I have to wonder how we have managed to go so far astray that this even needs to be legislated...
God bless America even if "we" throw Him out of our government, our schools, our homes and our minds!

When we get good news, we should cheer.
Today, I give a hearty cheer!

Praise the Lord, indeed! One more step toward a culture of LIFE!
For 30 years we have been hurtling downhill, and we are finally inching back up toward righteousness.
Keep praying!

... children born during abortions who were left to die or were smothered by doctors Sick bstards. Anyone who would do this should be in jail for life, or themselves executed for murder IMHO.

And this time we don't have an IMMORAL president who will veto this bill. God Bless President Bush!
