Pray for her father, too.

Samantha was born in Northampton, Massachusetts (not to far from me here in Springfield.) According to the newspaper here in town, her father (who lives in Sunderland) took the first nine months of her life off from work to be with her during these early months of her life. The article said that he was heartbroken when Samantha's mother moved with her to California, and now he has to go through this heartbreak all over again. This guy, according to the article, had kept in close contact with Samantha over the years (sending her videos of himself, writing her letters, etc.) I don't know why he didn't go out to California to be closer to her, but he apparently tried his best to maintain some type of relationship with Samantha is spite of the distance between them.

My heart goes out to her mother, step-father, and grandmother, but my heart goes out to her father, for he hasn't lost her once...he has lost her twice.

Notice the news reporters are pronouncing Avila's name with an American sounding pronunciation (with the accent on the A and with a short "i" sound, instead of pronouncing the "i" as "ee" as it should be). Further, the sheriff took no questions, and i wonder if maybe the man is not a U.S. citizen.

Yes, but if he wasn't in the mountains, it will reveal that.

Are you aware that Lake Elsinore is only a small pocket of SoCal? That there are wonderful little bedroom communities dotted throughout the SoCal region, not to mention vast open areas throughout the state? Or is it your duty to make a broad sweep generalization?

I know what you said, kitty. And I further felt the need to reiterate how you associated crime with California in general. Get it? Doubt it. Whatever. Anyway...glad you don't live here anymore. Next time you vist though...take someone with you when you leave, k? :o)

Perhaps the civil courts, by wrongful death lawsuits, will create enough legal precedent to address the problem of harmful publication.

Given that our courts are completely swamped with vexatious and frivolous lawsuits for everything and anything and that Political Correctness is institutionalized throughout America, I hope not.

Well to tell you the truth we did notice that. As most of the time, in todays media in the southwest they will make the "correct" pronunciation if you will. We noticed that immediatly.

Maybe. Depending on which side of the mountain he was on, if he was in the mountains, he would show a Lake Elsinore location or Mission Viejo/Camp Pendelton location in the cell site logs. It all depends on line of sight for his cell phone when he made the cell call.

**No. I'm neutral towards it. **

Oh. Relativism? Hedonism? If it feels good, do it? Even if it hurts a child? Well, aren't you a peach? Not.

I just remember all the comments about how "sick" it was for people to create that memorial for Danielle. I couldn't remember if you agreed or not.

NICE TRY KIMBO...but we keep copies of threads and posts...and if you recall, a memorial was setup, spontaneusly, by greiving passerbies at the Dehasa Road site where little Danielle's body was found.....

But during the night, members of the VD Public Relations team went to the Dehasa site...and removed the memorial, and set it up at the local park in the VD neighborhood..

To save you further embarrassment, I won't post the article....

So...to answer you question kim...if Ms. Runnion goes up on that mountain, and removes the memorial, and moves it to Stanton...then, I would have a problem with that....

Your attempt to again portray yourself knowledgeable on this matter is pitiful....and shameful....

I guess we'll just have to disagree, pyx, because, in my opinion the courts would be right to hold liable anyone who knowingly and willfully publishes material that results in the molestation and death of a defenseless child.

That was my experience as well unfortunately. Broke my heart to see these kids playing in the street and so young. One time one darted out in front of the car and I looked for an adult to watch this child--none to be found and I walked the child to his home when he pointed it out--imagine if this Avila nut was there! And our street you could see a very busy main road from it and walk easily to it. I could never understand it having children this age myself. And it was not an isolated incident, happened on street after street in the neighborhoods on the west side of Phoenix where I lived.

And if was at the mall, I believe he said Ontario Mills Mall, it will definetly show that.

You can bet, our local law enforcement already has these records, no doubt it.

About a 40 minute ride from Ontario Mall to Ortega Hwy.

From what they are saying about the suspect so far, I don't believe he had the horsepower to spoof his cell phone call location.
