I'm so glad they released the info to the public so fast to catch this monster before he could hurt anyone else.

A lot of people on this very site do not approve of the general public reporting suspicious actions.

You may be right, she had probably seen him, maybe said hello, maybe even taken candy or something, which would have seemed alright because he was with the other little girl, who might have been a friend of Samantha's-- and/or with the mother of the other girl...

Porn is not the reason for these sexual crimes. Lack of respect for marriage between a man and a woman is. It is part of the general lack of respect for the proper role of men as men and women as women.

Holy marriage is the pinnacle of men being men and women being women. When that is respected, porno is an extremely marignal problem.

I heard about a nice torture the Romans used to do on the History channel. Put him in the sack. Tell him if he lays real still he'll be ok. Then put a dog and a snake in the bag. Close it up and toss it in the river. The dog and snake go nucking futs on his a** while they all drown together.

I read a story about a guy who woke up with a rattlesnake in his sleeping bag while camping. He chose to wait until it got too hot and the snake crawled out of the bag, 3 hours. Every time he moved he said it would rattle. He though about jumping up and doing the potato sack race but didn't have the nerve.

Me? I'd crap chocolate fondu all over myself if a rattler crawled by my face. I'd of done the sack race.

O'R so proud of his anti-death penalty stance.......how disgusting. Some crimes cry out for the death penalty and this is one of them.

"How will they ever get a jury that doesn't want to gut'm like a fish when they see him."

This is California, land of the 9th circuit. They'll find them. Liberals by and large don't believe in the death penalty. When was the last execution carried out in California? Even Manson escaped the death penalty because it was repealed.

The police artist was working from a terrified five year old's memory.

See did a great job (as did he) and she's to be commended highly.

IMHO, when the acts being depicted (whether real or by virtual graphic) are illegal and/or the depiction is an instruction for such an illegal activity ... it ought to be a felony. That includes kiddy porn, snuff films, bomb making 101, etc

Unfortunately, the "etc." in your description also includes every murder mystery ever made. You also catch up almost every western. In fact, the vast majority of films made in the US depict a crime committed by at least one of the characters. You would also end up banning footage from criminal acts caught on film, such as the attacks of 9-11. Are they not real depictions of illegal acts?

Blaming porn or whatever social ill isn't going to fix the problem of predators among us like the one who killed poor Samantha. If anything, such a focus gives the killer an excuse in court: "The porn made me do it." The crime is the fault of the one who committed it. And it is almost certain that the crime would have occured even in the absence of pornography. We are talking about an evil person who needs no excuse or trigger to harm the innocent.

Poly Klauss' father provided these stats on Fox several days ago. With regard to the 4600 number, he stated specificly that 4600 young kids wind up like Samantha each year. Now perhaps I misunderstood his true intent, but it sounded that way to me.

The rest of your response is predicated on this statement.

I don't think it's the Federal Government or Supreme Court's purview to rule on porn AT ALL. I'm against their extending special protections to porn. Any community or city or state who doesn't want Larry Flynt and his ilk in their midst wooing their males to the perverse should have the freedom to kick their asses out.

The Fedgov really doesn't extend "special" protections to porn. The Fourteenth Amendment does, by extending the First Amendment to cover state and local actions. States cannot infringe on rights to free speech. You can, if you own a store and refuse to sell porn. But otherwise, its not the role of any government to regulate speech.

Sounds like he made the phone call as a cover story. The cell phone bill will tell the truth, though.
