Sh!t! Arafat most go. I don't care if he goes willingly, unwillingly or feet first, but he's got to be removed--along with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and al Aqsa Martyr's Brigade...and all their family and friends.

Ug. Here we go again and again and again. Israel has a real problem on it's hands. And if we don't expunge those who wish to do this to us, we're next.
So much for those diversity commercials on the tube that seek to dismiss what must be contemplated before it is.

They've used that tactic before--explode one bomb, then when the emergency workers show up, explode another bomb to get a higher body count.

MSNBC mentioned the words "dozens of victims."

Fox reporting "at least 20 casualties," according to first rescue workers at the scene.

Steve H on FNC saying they are hearing police reports of more than 20...I don't know if mean 20 dead, or 20 total. I would imagine it would have to be more than 20 people hurt.

I'm not as think as you dumb I am.
22:37 Jul-17-02, 8 Av 5762 (IsraelNN.com) The explosion that occurred a short time ago was on N'vei Sha'anan and Solomon Streets in southern Tel Aviv. Initial reports indicate the bomb went off in or in front of a small café, directly next to an area movie theatre. The blast is being described as extremely powerful and there are many wounded.

I don't think that the IDF is going to do anything about it.
At the very moment of the Pali attack, the IDF was bombing a mortar factory in the Gaza with missles from jets.

Wrong thread. Sorry.

NOt surprising. The bombing goes up when there are peace negotiations. Like when Powell visited Jerusalem.
It's their way of disabling chances for peace they don't want. And since the chatterers in the West won't call a spade a spade, there's little reall down-side for them. The support and money will keep coming.
A complimentary view, mentioned by STRATFOR and others, is that in Arafat's way of thinking, Arab or other, this is a show of strength, a show that he still has meaning personally, and a bargaining chip generally.
The Israelis may get some credit for not reacting with force, but really, the way the media and academia is rigged, that credit will be put aside - generally by proffereing distracting images of Pali children, etc., instead of the pic of Arafat.
Bush is doing the right thing - no more Arafat. They appreciate strong convictions. Powell can move to Paris if he doesn't like it.
