A Few of FR's Finest..... ......Every Day
FR is a Treasure Trove of talented, compassionate, patriotic, wonderful people who gather every day to discuss the latest news and issues; salute and support our military and our leaders; tell a few jokes; learn a new word; write poetry; pray for those in need; and congratulate those who are deserving. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for giving us the vehicle in which we can express ourselves.
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. I can remember lurking when there were only a few regulars who posted, and now there are over 60,000 who have registered for posting privileges. The forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest November 11, 2001
So many people have written me since my original Veteran's Day Tribute, asking how they, or a loved one, could be included in that tribute. Since I can no longer add the photos to the body of the thread, I've been including them in additional posts as I received enough to make another collage.
Still that doesn't seem to be enough. I think there's never been a better nor more appropriate time to keep the faces of our own Veterans and Active Military in front of FReepers--every day! That's why I wanted to do yet another Daily Thread .....ABOUT FReepers .....and FOR FReepers. But not only about our Military FReepers; for all FReepers! Wouldn't it be nice to get to know a few of the other FReepers as well? That's why, in addition to seeing FR's Finest Military Personnel every day, I thought it might be fun to feature a different FReeper (or FReepers) each day. If you would like to be pictured, or know someone who would, please FReepmail me and we'll turn the spotlight - on YOU - for the day!
And do let me know if you'd like your picture added to the groups of Veterans/Active Military below. I will keep this page updated, and continue to add them to the comment section of the original Veteran's Day thread as well.

Say, "Cheese!"
LBGA
Is your photo in the FReeper Photo Album? Have you all SEEN the Freeper Photo Album? Do you realize how much time it took for someone to put that together? And did you know that the someone who PUT it together (actually put it together more than once, but that is another story!) is THIS FReeper: LBGA , Freeper since 4-23-00. LBGA proudly flies the State Flag of Georgia on her profile page, along with about 250 others!
LBGA was one of the FReepers who traveled to DC for the Inagural Ball; she is an artist and has been an important part of the Guild, (this thread was particularly entertaining as LBGA had gone to Florida on a business trip and got to spend some time with BigWaveBetty, another of the Guild stalwarts; unfortunately, the photos at the pool are no longer available, darn it!), as well as the USO Canteen, where she created a warm, inviting cyber room, complete with the two mascots, Beamer and Morgan, relaxing in front of a cozy fire. You can see that room, with all the little FR details, displayed on Snow Bunny's profile page. Snow Bunny is the Hostess of the USO Canteen.
Thank you, LBGA, for being one of FR's Finest FReepers! And thank you for creating, collecting, cropping, and categorizing all those photos!
Smile, you're on Candid Camera FR's Finest!

Morning, summer - you must have worn your little fingers down to nubs last night answering all your posts yesterday. :)
Didn't LBGA do a fantastic job on that cyber room?! There were so many little details that she added, little by little, until you saw the finished product on Bunny's profile page. :)

Morning, JL! She IS a Georgia Peach - love the license plate. Do you remember that Guild thread I mentioned above with L and BWB and their photos at the pool?! I wanted to link to those actual photos, but they were stored at Photo Point and alas! GONE! Maybe BWB would post one here?!
I'm not sure we'll see LBGA today, but I hope so! :)

There. I predicted it. Now sit back and watch it happen! Thanks, J! (Uh, what's my horoscope for today?!) :)
Very happy to see you - thanks for coming! If it were not for her, there are many, many FReepers we would never have 'seen'. :)

Yes, LBGA is QUITE talented!!!
Also, it was a pleasure for me to answer all those posts! :)
BTW, I think the reason so many FR threads and projects get posted on Dem web sites is because they are jealous. Here is a true and funny story, which I share just for the laughs:
Someone on one of those sites suggested doing what you are doing here -- highlighting certain people in special threds. Well, the rest of the posters were very OPPOSED to this idea! Comments inicluded: What if someone feels sad he or she was not highlighted? Doesn't this create an elitist class of posters? It wouldn't be fair to single out a few! etc.
So, they wound up highlighting: people's birthdays, and the number of times the poster has posted -- but, nothing in recognition of talent or work, as this is too "unfair." I had to laugh. I don't think it's unfair to say thank you to people who have worked hard and shared their talents.
Consequently, again, thank you LBGA and Billie!

Good morining to you. Thank you both, and all Freepers.
I start every day by hitting the button on my Mac, getting that cup of good coffee, then jumping to FR.
Beginning my morning freep with a visit with FR's finest is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy cool, starts the day in a positive way.

Wow nice graphic.
I wish I was as talented as you. Unforntunately, I have to borrow my graphics from others. But I enjoy seeing them and posting them.
ps: I borrowed your graphic, it is now in my collection.

LOL, summer! I read a few of those comments one time at one of the sites you're probably talking about, but didn't see anything there that made me want to go back again and again. They just seem so bitter that 'our guy' won the White House!
