President Bush submitted a formal outline for the proposed cabinet-level department of Homeland Security today in a brief ceremony outside the White House. Bush, joined by Vice President Cheney and members of Congress, called on both parties to work together to ensure that the future of America is safer than it was before September 11th. Regarding the last picture in #11: one would think Lieberman would have some SHAME in even SPEAKING to President Bush after the smarmy way he has attacked him over the last few days! If I were Lieberman, I would be worrying about lightning bolts!

The President also appointed Tony Garza as Ambassador to Mexico, and offered his support to 5th Circuit Court of Appeals nominee, Priscilla Owen, seen below.
